Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is incredibly exciting at the moment, as the Straw Hat Pirates continue their adventures across the Warland, Elbaf. The arc started like any other, but it has quickly become a fan favorite for many reasons. Sadly, for One Piece fans, the upcoming Sunday isn’t going to be great as far as the manga is concerned.

The One Piece manga has been going on a lot of hiatuses as of late, with fans getting only two chapters over the course of the last 4 weeks. It seems that the series won't be enjoying any consistency this week either. Once again, Oda has decided to take yet another break, which means that fans will not get a new One Piece chapter on August 24.

One Piece is Going on Yet Another Break on August 24

One Piece Chapter 1158 Will be Delayed

For the past month or so, One Piece has, sadly, gone on repeated breaks. This is a huge disappointment to many fans, especially as the One Piece story is currently at a very exciting moment during its Elbaf arc, with a great ongoing flashback.

Another break is now upon fans, as One Piece chapter 1158, which was supposed to come out this Sunday, on August 24, 2025, has now been delayed.

There are various reasons for the recurrent breaks last month. Some are due to Oda, and others are from Shonen Jump, like the break from 2 weeks ago. When it comes to why Oda specifically has been taking breaks, it seems this last month has been quite tough for him. Oda has had to draw quite a few illustrations, which definitely drains his energy.

Fans can even see how little time he had last week by noticing some unfinished parts in One Piece chapter 1157. Clearly, Oda is exhausted, which is why there will be a One Piece break on August 24, and One Piece chapter 1158 will then drop the week after.

It must also be remembered that Oda usually takes a month-long break every year, or has been taking one for the past two years. This year, Oda hasn't had such a hiatus yet, which means that overall, he has been working a tad more than usual. Fans should be grateful for what they're getting from Oda at the moment.

One Piece Chapter 1158 Official Release Date

Manga Set To Return On August 31, 2025

Now that fans know this week won’t give them a new One Piece chapter, they may be wondering when exactly they can expect One Piece chapter 1158 to drop. As usual, whenever Oda goes on break, it is only for one week, unless stated otherwise. In other words, One Piece chapter 1158 should come out the weekend after, on Sunday, August 31, 2025. This will make One Piece chapter 1158 the final chapter of August.
