Luffy's devil fruit awakening allowed him to beat Kaido, who was considered the "Strongest Creature in the World." In his Gear 5th form, there are not many One Piece characters who can defeat him. However, there are plenty of other characters from other anime series who can defeat Gear 5th Luffy.

With every passing arc, Luffy grows stronger and more determined to claim the famed treasure that is One Piece. Luffy's continuous development makes sense as his opponents' power scales with every arc.

At the moment, Luffy's greatest power is Gear 5th. It has enabled Luffy to take on the likes of Kaido, Kizaru, and Lucci. In One Piece, only a handful of characters can stand up to his might. But the case is different when Luffy is compared to characters from other anime. With that in mind, here are more anime characters who can beat Luffy.

19 Lain Iwakura

Lain Iwakura from Serial Experiments Lain is one of the strongest anime characters of all time. She has control over reality, and as a result, she can bend it to her will. Throughout the series, viewers watched her change what was real and what wasn't.

On the surface, she appears to be a normal high school student, but the reality is far from that. Lain Iwakura can erase the memories of people throughout the universe. Additionally, she can erase a person from existence and replace them with a clone. Above all, Lain Iwakura can reset the universe and mold it however she desires. With all these abilities, Luffy stands no chance of beating her.

She can also limit her opponents' actions by trapping them in space-time vortexes. Due to the nature of these attacks, it is nearly impossible to avoid them. Usagi also has the power to heal, which allows her to fight even after sustaining multiple wounds.

Saiki Kusuo is the main protagonist of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. He might not be as famous as some of the other anime characters on the list, but there is no denying that he is an extremely powerful character. Saiki possesses a variety of powers, which include hypnosis, clairvoyance, mind control, petrification, telekinesis, etc.

With the help of these powers, Saiki can easily crush his opponents. Luffy's Gear 5th is strong in its own right, but it won't be sufficient to defeat someone like Saiki.

Yhwach was one of the primary antagonists in Bleach. He had an interesting persona, which made him stand out from the rest of the characters in the story. Yhwach was blessed with several noteworthy abilities, but the one that stood out the most was the Almighty.

It gave him the power of precognition, with which he could see multiple futures. He could use it to his advantage by planning his next phase of action accordingly. Yhwach could also set up traps to catch his enemies off guard, therefore altering the future in the process. Moreover, Yhwach can absorb other individuals, which gives him access to their knowledge and power.

Alucard's regeneration powers make him almost impossible to kill. He can regenerate from all kinds of wounds, no matter the severity. Alucard has several other abilities in his locker, which include telepathy, teleportation, hypnosis, soul absorption, etc. With so many powers at his disposal, Alucard should have no problem taking down Gear 5th Luffy.

In a fight to death, Mereum would have absolutely no problem beating Luffy.

Gilgamesh possesses the Gates of Babylon, a Noble Phantasm that grants him access to all his collected treasures. Gilgamesh's most trusted Noble Phantasms are Enkidu and Ea. Enkidu allows him to bind his targets in place while Ea can finish them off.
