One Piece chapter 1122 took fans all over the world once again. This does not come as a surprise to any reader, and is a given, because Vegapunk's message was still going on, which meant that fans would get to see the reaction of the people from all over the world. Fans were taken to Dressrosa, where people were worried about sinking even further, but at the same time, this message meant more to people were now looking for adventure. Those seeking the glory and adventure took Vegapunk's message as a solid confirmation of the existence of One Piece and the great treasures of the world. Now, they want to set out to seek it out as well, and if Whitebeard and Roger's words weren't enough, Vagapunk's message, which was sent to every single corner of the world, is sure to cause a great rush of Pirates to the oceans once again. This situation is chaotic for the World Government, but it is also very exciting, as it makes the Final Saga all the more thrilling to go through.

You hear that? The greatest mind of the world just confirmed the One Piece is real!

Various Pirates and Marines were seen reacting to Vegapunk's message. Fans were also taken back to Impel Down, where Pirates were begging for the Navy to be crushed. But at the same time, they also got to see the reaction of some Marines, such as Koby, who, after hearing all the message about Vegapunk's implications about the Navy being evil, decided that he had to stop Luffy from accomplishing his dream, which is bizarre, to say the least. Other than that, fans also got to see the remaining Emperors of the Sea. Buggy was more excited than ever before and continued to talk about claiming the One Piece with his people, while at the same time, Shanks was seen drinking and sailing towards some unknown location. Blackbeard was as excited as ever, and of course, fans know that Luffy finds himself on Egghead still.

All in all, this chapter did incredibly well in terms of setting up what is to come next. These are all the major players that are going to have a spectacular role to fulfill in the upcoming arcs of One Piece, and Oda wasted absolutely no time highlighting their next roles in One Piece chapter 1122.

Emet Unleashes His Power

Emet Finally Revealed His Trump Card And It Was Joy Boy's Haki

Quite easily, the most anticipated part of One Piece chapter 1122, and perhaps the entirety of the climax of Egghead Island, was Emet's true power. Ever since Emet woke up, fans had been waiting to see what he would be able to do against the Five Elders. Emet was clearly injured by the Elders previously, but fans were made aware of the fact that he had a trump card. In One Piece chapter 1122, Emet sustained more damage from the Elders, but kept getting back up. This time around, Emet knew that he had to pull out his trump card and save the Strawhat Pirates.

I'll seal my strongest Haki in you, Emet!

Before utilizing this power, fans got to see Emet converse with Luffy. He clearly mentioned that he knows that Luffy is not Joy Boy, but his appearance and his nature are so similar to Joy Boy that he couldn't help but reminisce about that one day he has fond memories of. Clearly, Luffy realized that he was being mistaken for someone else.

However, he has no idea of who the Joy Boy person that Emet is talking about truly is. Emet then went on to apologize for not being able to make Joy Boy King. This is very important and tells the fans that Joy Boy wanted to be king of something In the past. Of course, it could not have been the King of the Pirates, because the concept of claiming the One Piece did not exist back then, at least as far as fans know.

After that conversation, Emet finally got a chance to showcase his true power. By tugging a rope inside of him and opening a knot, he was able to unleash a powerful blast of Conqueror's Haki. This did not happen before he found out who Luffy truly was, and what his dream was. In order to protect Luffy and his dream and aid him in becoming King, something he couldn't do for Joy Boy, Emet finally took a stand. He unleashed this powerful bolt of Haki and it was quite easily the strongest showing of Haki that fans have ever seen in One Piece. This bolt of Haki knocked out just about every Marine surrounding Egghead, and even the Five Elders could not sustain this blast. They were knocked out of their beastly forms, and most of them were sent back to Marijoa. This Haki blast paved the way for the escape of the Strawhat Pirates from Egghead, and it was truly glorious to see.

The Straw Hats Escape Egghead

With Emet Using Haki, The Straw Hats Finally Leave Egghead

The Straw Hat Pirates were seen jumping down from the Labophase and were finally able to set sail as well, and much of that was down to Emet, whose Haki got rid of Nusjuro. At the same time, the Giants, who were waiting for the Hats, set sail too. Finally, the Straw Hat Pirates are now out of Egghead and sailing to safety. On Egghead, fans only saw the remains of the Giant, who was now collapsing, and in front of him, St Saturn, who will see to it that the Iron Giant is now dismantled for good.

The chapter concluded with fans finally getting their very first glimpse of Joy Boy, although it was in a silhouette. Fans got to see Emet's last memories before he shut his eyes forever, and in this memory, Oda portrayed why Emet unleashed the powerful strike against the Elders. Back in the day, Emet was being protected by Joy Boy at all times. These two shared a very close bond with each other, but, Joy Boy acknowledged that he is going to die one day and won't be able to protect Emet forever. As such, he sealed his most powerful Haki inside of him, only to be used when the time was right.

Whenever the Iron Giant needed help or wanted to protect someone, he would use it. At the end of the day, Emet gave his life to protect the Straw Hat Pirates and with that, shut his eyes forever. This was quite an emphatic chapter of One Piece and the perfect way to end this exciting arc and pave the way for bigger things that are to come in the Elbaf Arc.
