Players will need to spend a lot of time clearing Securement Silos in Once Human if they want to get some of those all-important gear mods for their builds. Silo EX1 is where players can go to target-farm Mask mods, which offer some of the strongest offensive effects in the game.
Getting a good Mask mod is crucial, especially if you're planning to do something like a Burn build in Once Human. Opening chests is too unreliable, and farming Prime Wars requires a good group. If you're in need of Mask mods, then Silo EX1 is your best bet.
Once Human: All Rare Plants & Where to Find Them
There are lots of rare plants in Once Human that can be used for cooking special dishes. Learn where to find them with this guide.
Where Is Silo EX1 In Once Human?
You can find Silo EX1 in the Chalk Peak region of Eastern Nalcott, some ways south of the Monolith of Thirst. The closest Teleport Tower to the dungeon is further south at the end of the road close to the beach. Unless players move their Once Human base close to Silo EX1, then reaching the dungeon will almost always involve a quick drive from the Teleport Tower to the Silo's cliffside entrance.
Once Human Silo EX1 Guide
This dungeon takes place in an underground Rosetta facility that's seemingly used for Deviant experimentation. Apart from the lab floor near the beginning, the Silo also has numerous holding cells and other testing facilities.
Silo EX1's layout is fairly corridor-like. Players can simply follow the main route until they reach the end of the level. Unfortunately, this dungeon doesn't have a Seepage Zone like other Silos in Once Human do, though, there are still some secrets here that players might want to know.
Lab Room
After going down the first elevator, players will find themselves in a lab full of enemies. Defeat all of them, and you'll be able to pick up a keycard from the big Deviant that spawns in the middle of the room. Before you go open the stairs leading to the next section, there are two things you'll want to take note of in this area.
First, there's a weapon crate in a room hidden behind a locked door to the left of the entrance. Open it with the keycard, and go down the hall and into the security room. Weapon crates have a chance of giving not just guns, but also weapon mods in Once Human.
On the opposite side of the locked door is a holding cell, which should have opened as you started blasting the Deviants and zombies in the lab. Inside it is a breakable panel that you can blow up with grenades and other explosives. This is a shortcut that leads to the holding cells at the bottom floor. Once you arrive, head up the stairs, and shoot the glowing cysts on the black goo blocking the way to proceed to the next area.
Except for the boss and the enemies in the lab, players can safely run past everything else, significantly speeding up overall clear times.
Traffic Light Room
After breaking the black goo, proceed to the next holding cell area and pass through the portal below. You'll end up ina large testing hall filled with Deviants. The catch here is if the lights turn red, everything that moves (including both players and NPCs) will get petrified. In the case of players, they'll be teleported back to the starting zone.
To get past this room, simply stop moving when the lights are red. You can still shoot, reload, and heal during this time, but as soon as you take a step, you'll be frozen and thrown back.
You can explore the upper catwalks of this room if you have consume a Stardust Energy Drink, one of the best drinks in Once Human that enables double jumping.
Once Human Silo EX1 Boss Fight
The boss in Silo EX1 is an enormous Siren Deviant that's stuck in the middle of a circular jail area. It's immune to most attacks except for ones that hit its lights. Like in the Traffic Light Room, the boss' lights will change from green, to yellow, then red. If you move while the lights are red, you'll get frozen and promptly obliterated by the boss' laser attacks.
It's a fairly simple fight. Shoot the lights while fending off the swarm of Gnawers, and the boss will go down. On harder difficulties, you may need to shoot some generators first before you can damage the boss. Beating it and opening the reward chest will reward you with some Mask mods. Additionally, the Atomic Lighter Deviant in Once Human has a small chance of appearing next to the reward chest after the boss is defeated.
