Sudden stops that halt your progress in Once Human can be extremely annoying, especially when you’re eager to explore the world further. One such instance is when you approach a Rift Anchor and see the No Access to Rift Anchor message, leaving you confused as to what to do next. Fortunately, this isn’t a bug in the game, but a part of the process. So, what does the No Access to Rift Anchor message really mean and how to fix it? This guide discusses everything in detail.
Once Human: Cargo Scramble Event Guide
Here’s everything you need to know about the thrilling Cargo Scramble event in Once Human.
What Does No Access to Rift Anchor Mean?
If you try to activate a Rift Anchor in Once Human without completing essential tasks first, this message will pop up. Nevertheless, Rift Anchors aren’t just regular checkpoints, they’re linked to the game’s main storyline. Therefore, each area in the game should be explored in a specific order.
The Rift Anchors are your guide during the process. If you have yet to complete all the quests in the previous region, you won't be able to use the Rift Anchor when entering the next area.
What Causes the No Access to Rift Anchor Message?
You might see the No Access to Rift Anchor message for two main reasons.
- Primarily, it could be that you’ve left some parts of the main story quests unexplored. Hence, you must go through each phase of the storyline in a particular order, as previously mentioned.
- The second reason could be that you haven’t defeated the Monolith Boss in the previous region.
Each region in Once Human has a powerful boss tied to the story. To use the Rift Anchor for that particular area, you must defeat the boss first. Otherwise, the game will not let you use the Rift Anchor.
How to Fix the No Access to Rift Anchor Issue in Once Human
To fix the No Access to Rift Anchor issue, you can check your map or quest log to see if there are any pending tasks you still need to finish. Once you’ve completed these quests, the Rift Anchor should be accessible.
Make sure that you have defeated the Monolith Boss in the previous region. For example, if you are trying to use a Rift Anchor in the Highland region near Ion River, you must first defeat Triant (the boss associated with the region) and then, mark your entry into the main settlement, like the Graywater Camp.
When you're near a Rift Anchor, it will emit a purple beam of light, making it easier to locate.
