The Fortress Warfare weapon effect in Once Human is a great pick for players who are into defensive playstyles. Previously, this effect was limited to sniper rifles and shotguns, but as of the Way of Winter update, players can now get it via the Autumn Equinox, a variant of the M416 rifle that comes with a few extra bells and whistles for would-be point anchors.

Once Human M416 Autumn Equinox Location

You can get blueprint fragments for M416 Autumn Equinox by heading to the Tundra Monolith in Onyx Tundra. The Mystical Crate containing the fragments is up the snowy mountain, behind a barrier on top of some metal storage containers. Just follow the road, and you should be able to see it based on the image above.

Tundra Monolith is a level 19 area, and it can get pretty cold up there too — you can try rushing the crate to get the blueprint fragments, but make sure to avoid combat and bring something that'll help you stay warm, like a torch, some clothes, and food/drink buffs. If you're using an old character, check if you have any materials or low-level gear that you can transfer over from Eternaland.

The M416 in Once Human is practically the opposite of the SOCR rifles — it has a high rate of fire, but low damage per shot. The Autumn Equinox mitigates the latter by creating Fortress Warfare fields for the player whenever they score 7 hits. This effect has a 15-second cooldown. A tier 1 M416 Autumn Equinox without any weapon attachments in Once Human comes with the following base stats:

Apart from spawning Fortress Warfare zones, the rifle also does the following:

  • Recovers 4% of your max HP per second while standing in a Fortress Warfare zone
  • If your HP is over 75%, gain 25% bonus Weapon DMG

Basically, this rifle wants you to stay within Fortress Warfare zones as much as possible. You should have no trouble keeping your health over 75%, but don't forget about the weapon damage buff from the Fortress Warfare zone itself. Once you manage to get some mods that further improve your damage, the M416 Autumn Equinox will be able to mow even the toughest of targets down with long bursts of accurate fire.
