Deviants provide a wide variety of bonuses for players in Once Human. Some help out around your base, while others actively help you out in combat. There are also ones that produce materials that you can use. One such example that deserves a special mention is Artisan's Touch, a crafting-focused Deviant that produces one of the best quality-of-life consumables in the game.

Artisan's Touch is one of the best Territory Deviants in Once Human simply due to how valuable its produced materials are. It may not be as useful early one, but once players reach the mid-endgame, they'll definitely want one of these Deviants in their homes.

Where To Find Artisan's Touch In Once Human

Artisan's Hand from a Scorcher in Once Human

Unlike many other Deviants in the game, Artisan's Touch is dropped by enemies instead of being event rewards or appearing as bubbles floating around the world. Specifically, the enemy you need to hunt is the Scorcher, a hulking deviation with a flaming cement mixer for a head. They count as elite enemies and are thus harder to take down compared to your standard Stardust monsters. As always, make sure your weapons in Once Human are upgraded before taking on anything that's a higher level than you.

There are three areas where you can find a Scorcher roaming about:

  • Hearst Industries (Broken Delta - across the Deadsville bridge): Found in one of the factory buildings in the middle of the complex.
  • Greywater Industrial Zone (Iron River - west of Greywater Camp): Found roaming near the warehouses on the upper level.
  • Eastern Railway Junction (Broken Delta - northwestern end): Found near one of the derailed train cars. Follow the railroad tracks.

Scorchers in the open world are big bullet sponges that split into two when their health gets low enough. Riddle them full of bullets, and you'll be able to loot their bodies. If you're lucky, Artisan's Touch will be among the list of items you can grab from them. The odds of getting this Deviant is pretty low, so expect to fight multiple Scorchers before you can get one.

Instead of waiting for Scorchers to respawn, you can try hopping between worlds in Once Human by visiting a Teleportation Tower.

What Does Artisan's Touch Do?

All-Purpose Hand description in Once Human
Once Human All-Purpose Hand description

The Artisan's Touch Deviant produces Universal Toolkits and unlocks the All-Purpose Hand tactical item for crafting at your Advanced or Intermediate Supplies Workbench. All-Purpose Hand repairs the least durable gear piece you have equipped, though it doesn't work on looted gear. To craft one, you need the following:

While using All-Purpose Hand isn't necessarily less expensive than repairing items at home, it's definitely a lot more convenient. In the late game, weapon and armor durability goes down very quickly. When fighting Once Human's monolith bosses, and having a means of repairing your gear without having to go home is a godsend for players who want to go on an uninterrupted farming streak.

The real kicker to crafting All-Purpose Hand is the Acid and Stardust cost. Both of these can be hard to gather en masse, so unless you're swimming in resources, craft All-Purpose Hand sparingly.
