When trying to locate these beneficial item drops, be sure to check around corners, behind larger objects, and pretty much anywhere you could suspect something to be hiding. Weapon crates and gear crates will be somewhat easily identifiable once you're nearby, as they tend to have a glowing yellow outline that makes them stand out in the environment.
