Once Human features a seasonal system, where each season introduces an exciting new ‘Scenario’. A Scenario lasts six weeks and brings fresh content to the game, including unique challenges, missions, and storylines. After six weeks, the game undergoes a season reset, wiping out almost all of your exploration progress.
Even though the thought of starting over sounds dreadful, a season reset gives you the chance to experience Once Human in a new way. Preparing for a season reset beforehand can help you get a headstart on the new season and avoid any setbacks. This guide covers a list of things you can do before a season resets in Once Human to ensure a smoother transition.
Once Human: How To Get The H37 Deviant
H37 is a curious Deviant in Once Human that can help you fill your chests with useful resources. Here's how to catch one.
Base-related Tasks
Considering that your base is the only safe space in Once Human where you can rest, store items, and build structures, here are some essential tasks to complete before a season reset:
- Save your base as a blueprint
- Buy furniture blueprints from vendors
- Complete weekly purifications, ideally using level 3 cortexes
-
Disassemble extra calibration blueprints to get
Stardust Source
- Disassemble dropped weapons for resources
If you have used materials in your base that are not yet available in the new season (like
Gravel for Stone structures), they will automatically be substituted with lower-tier materials (like Wood) when you rebuild using the saved base blueprint.
Shop-related Tasks
Thankfully, certain resources and items can be carried over across seasons. This includes all important currencies, limited-time cosmetics, expressions and poses, namecards, and more. As such, here’s a list of shop-related activities you can do to prepare for the season reset:
-
Stockpile currencies like
Starchrom, Stellar Planula, Crystgins, Mitsuko's Marks, and Sproutlets.
- Save up to 390,000 Energy Links to buy all Starchrom Crates in the Season Shop.
- Purchase weekly Controllers from the Warband Shop.
- Purchase all available Cosmetics with non-paid currencies.
- Purchase all limited-time items from the Shop.
Exploration-related Tasks
If you’re a completionist or just someone who wants to get the most out of their current scenario before the season reset, make sure to finish these tasks before the next season:
- Complete all Journeys.
- Complete all season goals.
-
Complete all Prime Wars in Once Human at least once for
Starchrom
reward.
- Unlock all Mystical crates.
- Unlock all Morphic crates.
- Get all the food recipes.
- Use all permits at workshop defenses.
- Stockpile Acid as much as you can.
- Acquire all weapon mods and attachments you need/want.
- Collect gear blueprints and blueprint fragments.
Eternaland-related Tasks
Eternaland is a special bubble world in Once Human that remains untouched during seasonal resets. Some items, like weapons, armor, medicines, and ammo, will automatically be sent to your Eternaland Spacetime Backpack when the season ends. At the start of the new season, you can use Material Points to transfer items from your Eternaland Depot to your regular backpack.
Before a season reset, make sure to:
- Store all existing furniture items in Eternaland.
- Turn all extra, lower-level deviations into Astral Sand currency, used for construction.
