Using Cosmetic Tokens is one of the ways players can get some skins for free, but given how many menus there are, using them can be a little confusing.

Cosmetic Tokens are a type of currency used to buy skins from the in-game shop. If you're not particularly fond of how something like the Falcon armor looks in Once Human, you still have the option to replace some pieces with cosmetic ones that are more to your taste. How To Get Cosmetic Tokens

You get Cosmetic Tokens every time you get a duplicate of a skin that you already own. Normally, skins are obtained by purchasing them at the shop for real money. However, players can get Cosmetic Tokens for free just by playing the game.

To get free tokens, open the Seasonal Goals menu by pressing Escape/Start, then check the Seasonal Shop. Here, you'll find Butterfly's Emissary loot crates that you can buy using Mitsuko's Marks. By completing Seasonal Goals, you'll be able to get a hefty stockpile of Mitsuko's Marks as well as large sums of Starchrom in Once Human.

The odds of getting common cosmetics from loot crates are fairly decent, but your chances of getting purple-tier items are significantly lower compared to the blue ones. With that said, you should be able to get a decent amount of Cosmetic Tokens just by opening these loot crates, though you may end up exhausting all your Mitsuko's Marks for the season eventually. In this case, all there's left to do is wait for the next server wipe.

You can access the Seasonal Shop by summoning V. Also, the Butterfly's Emmisary loot crate may get replaced by something else in future seasons.

Where To Spend Cosmetic Tokens

Players can use their Cosmetic Tokens in the Other tab in the in-game store. Open the store, navigate to the tab, then select the Redeem Cosmetic Token tab to see all the skins you can buy with your tokens.

Everything you buy here will be visible from the Cosmetics tab in the Character menu, the same place where you can edit your emotes in Once Human. Click on any of the slots that you've got cosmetics for, and the skins you've unlocked should appear. This includes the dyes you get from the Colorful Badge loot box.

Colorful Badges are a type of currency used to recolor certain cosmetic items. Not all skins can be dyed — you can only change the colors of cosmetics that have a color wheel symbol on them when selecting them in the Cosmetics tab.

Select a valid cosmetic item, and you'll see that there is a Dyed version of that item below its regular variant. Select the Dyed version, then unlock using your Colorful Badges.
