Once Human lets players explore at their own pace, and for those who want to spend their time making the perfect, raid-proof base, they can do so by going to Eternaland. This is a peculiar feature that no doubt has some players confused, but it really is quite straightforward once you get the gist of it down.

Players can unlock Eternaland relatively early on, and Once Human beginners should be able to access it just by playing the game normally. Apart from knowing how to reach Eternaland, there are a few important things players should know about it, especially for those who plan on following the game throughout its seasonal storylines.

How To Unlock Eternaland In Once Human

Starting point in the Eternaland for Once Human
Once Human Eternaland entrypoint

To gain access to Eternaland, all players have to do is reach level 20 on one character. Twenty levels is nothing to scoff at, but if you really want to reach this level as soon as possible, then doing quests and exploring POIs like Holt Town in Once Human is a good way to get EXP fast. Once you do get to level 20, a quest telling you to visit Eternaland will automatically start.

To get to Eternaland, go back to the main menu. You'll see the Eternaland button right below the Enter Game one. Click on that, wait for the game to load, and you're done. The quest that sends you to Eternaland also serves as a basic tutorial that goes over the realm's basics, so make sure not to gloss over it.

You can also access Eternaland by clicking the palm tree icon on the upper-right side of the Escape menu while in-game. It's right next to the Friends button.

What Is Eternaland In Once Human?

Building in Once Human's Eternaland

Basically, Eternaland is your own private space meant specifically for building bases and storing seasonal items. Instead of regular materials, buildings and facilities here are made using Astral Sand, a type of currency unique to Eternaland.

For those who weren't aware, Once Human uses a seasonal model for its live service, and that comes with seasonal wipes across all servers. This doesn't mean players will start completely from scratch again, however. A number of different items from the live servers can be deposited into Eternaland, and when the time comes for a new season, you can withdraw those items for a headstart. Such items include:

  • Weapons and Armor
  • Ordinary materials, ammunition, and medicine

Once Human Launch Controversy Explained

Once Human's launch has been rife with controversy, but swift responses from its development team has kept the game above water so far.

The following account-bound items and currencies will directly carry over along with your character:

  • Starchrom, Crystgin, Mitsuko's Mark, Stellar Planula, and Sproutlets
  • Unlocked gear blueprints, blueprint fragments, weapon accessories, and mods
  • Furniture blueprints that are not unlocked via Memetics
  • Cosmetics, actions, and title cards
  • Character customization data
  • Building blueprints
  • Quest progress
  • Friends list

The biggest things players will have to worry about when starting a new season are their level, Energy Links and exploration progress related to Strongholds, seasonal goals, and the map in general. Deviations are not included in this list, so players will likely have to capture base companions like Digby Boys and Chefosauruses again.
