How To Get Caviar In Once Human

The Integrated Kitchen memetics node in Once Human — Once Human Integrated kitchen node

To get Caviar, you must first unlock the Integrated Kitchen memetic node under the fourth tier of the Logistics tree. Unlocking it will cost 5 Ciphers and 700 Energy Links. You can get Ciphers by leveling up, and you can easily get Energy Links in Once Human by crafting and selling pickaxes to NPC vendors. If you get the specialization that unlocks Silver Ingot and Gold Ingot recipes, you can sell those instead for better gains.

Getting the Integrated Kitchen node unlocks the recipe for Caviar and Butter as well as the blueprint for the Kitchen Set, which is the best cooking station available in the game so far. You won't need it though, as Caviar can be cooked on a regular Electric Stove.

Now that you have the Caviar recipe unlocked, you'll be able to cook some any time you want. However, you're going to need three units of Roe to cook one Caviar, and getting this ingredient is going to involve a lot of luck and patience. You'll need to go fishing in Once Human if you want to get Roe, and unfortunately, the odds of getting this ingredient is very low. Stock up on fishing bait, put a podcast or some music on, and spend some time catching fish.

What Is Caviar For?

Caviar itself cannot be eaten alone. It is an ingredient used for more advanced food recipes. This is notably used for cooking Stargazy Pizza and Tacos. Before you can cook either of these, you'll need to find their recipes first:

Stargazy Pizza: Fisherman's Wharf, Chalk Peak (1577, -7299)
Taco: High Banks, Broken Delta (5534, -5712)

The recipe for Stargazy Pizza is the main shack in Fisherman's Wharf. Meanwhile, the Taco recipe is on one of the tables in the restaurant next to the Rift Anchor in the High Banks area in Once Human. It's erroneously labeled as Herbal Tea as of writing, but once you consume the recipe in your inventory, you'll unlock Tacos instead.
