Once Human’s The Way of Winter update not only adds new regions and temperature mechanics but introduces a whole new collection of Deviants. These Pokemon-like creatures can be found hidden across the overworld and have unique abilities and benefits. Out of all the new Deviants, Hydronaut Fish stands out as a rare catch. Hydronaut Fish is a Territory Deviant in Once Human, which means it can give you a hand with certain tasks around your base. Read on to learn where to find the Hydronaut Fish Deviant.
Once Human: How to Get Invincible Sun Deviant
Here’s how you can get the Invincible Sun Deviant in Once Human and use it to deal fire damage to enemies.
How To Get The Hydronaut Fish in Once Human
Just like the Ice Pot Deviant in Once Human, you can get the Hydronaut Fish by completing the Deviant: Hydronaut Fish Quest. This quest is unlocked when you chat with Lowe in Vena Fjord’s Whalebone Settlement. He will inform you that there is a Deviant in Petit Harbor.
By following the objective marker, you’ll come to the docks. Here, you'll find Hydronaut Fish standing nearby. While it may seem tempting to simply capture the Hydronaut Fish and complete the quest, that's not an option. The Hydronaut Fish feels lonely in this world, and you need to talk to it and convince the Deviant to come with you.
Hydronaut Fish will then ask you to catch a fish in the harbor. To do this, you'll need a Fishing Rod and bait, both of which can be crafted in your territory. Once you catch the fish, you’ll be asked to place it in a fish tank in your territory.
After fulfilling all of Hydronaut Fish's requests, you can finally capture it. To increase Hydronaut Fish's power and mood, place its Securement Unit in an area with Blue Light and add some Toys and Flowers.
While the Deviant quests in Once Human’s Way of Winter are unlocked by talking to Lowe, the specific Deviants you’ll find depend on Lowe's location. In Whalebone, you'll unlock quests for Hydronaut Fish, Ice Pot, and Gazocchio Deviants.
How To Use The Hydronaut Fish in Once Human
Unlike Combat Deviants in Once Human, which help you in battle, Territory Deviants, like Hydronaut Fish, have passive abilities and excel at managing tasks around your base. Hydronaut Fish will collect seawater from outside your territory and occasionally catch fish for you.
Additionally, you can assign Hydronaut Fish to a Water Filter or Brewing Barrel to increase their production speed. This makes it a valuable asset if water or acid production is a regular part of your base activities.
