How to Get Fuel

There are two main types of fuel in Once Human: Portable Mixed Fuel and Barreled Premium Fuel.

Portable Mixed Fuel is the most common type, and it usually powers vehicles such as motorcycles and Retro Coupe. The largest vehicles, like the Mountain Off-Road truck, consume Barreled Premium Fuel. It is also used to craft missile turrets and other advanced equipment.

To find out which fuel your vehicle requires, approach it and press the Refuel button.

Hunting for Portable Mixed Fuel

You can search for Portable Mixed Fuel around the trunks of abandoned cars throughout the world. Smaller, narrower roads accommodate these vehicles.

One of the best locations to hunt for Portable Mixed Fuel is an island, located in the lower right corner of the map. This area has many abandoned cars and few enemies, making it a great place to collect fuel.

Another good source of portable mixed fuel is joining oil refinery battles on PvP servers. You can earn fuel while competing in these fun battles. You can also purchase fuel directly by buying the Battle Pass to receive a consistent daily fuel supply.

Refining Portable Mixed Fuel into Premium Fuel

As you level up in the game, Barreled Premium Fuel is required for better vehicles and equipment. To convert Portable Mixed Fuel to some Barreled Premium Fuel, you need a Refining Facility. A Refining Facility will cost you:

When the facility is online, 50 Portable Mixed Fuels can be inserted into the Fuel Input area to produce one unit of Barreled Premium Fuel.

Best Routes for Finding Fuel

To gather fuel efficiently, follow specific routes with multiple abandoned cars:

Start from Deadsville and move to the west.
Drive to the Teleportation Tower, but mark the place under the bridge on the road before that.
Then, simply glide there and start investigating the cars alongside the road. Many of them will have their trunk open.

Bonus Tips for Managing Fuel

Always check the fuel in your vehicle and carry Portable Mixed Fuel with you. You can also extract it from gas canisters found in buildings on the Disassembly Bench. Invest in the Fuel Refinery skill and turn Acid or Portable Mixed Fuel into Barreled Premium Fuels to keep your engines going.

How to Refuel Your Vehicles

Once you have the desired fuel in your inventory, refueling your vehicles is straightforward. Simply approach the vehicle and press the "G" key on your keyboard. This will open a menu where you can see the fuel tank value and the option to add fuel. Select the quantity you want to add, and then press "F" to refuel.
