All players in Once Human have to farm loot now and then, to keep up with crafting requirements and gear progression.
Some materials and resources in Once Human are much rarer and harder to get than others. The crafting system is quite complex for high-level recipes, and often calls for resources that will need to be farmed or gathered in volume by the player. Finding a good location for gathering these materials is the key to playing Once Human in an efficient manner.
7 Dirt Roads
For Portable Mixed Fuel
The most difficult resource for players to get in Once Human is Barreled Premium Fuel. All vehicles require fuel to run, and this is the most efficient of the two fuels to use. However, unless a player is part of a PvP warband that has claimed an area, they won’t have direct access to Barreled Premium Fuel, so they will either need to steal some from PvP-inhabited oil derricks or refine Portable Mixed Fuel.

Once Human has a number of armor sets, each aimed at a different role. Some of these are better than others at different stages of the game.
Considering that it takes 100 Portable Mixed Fuel to make one Barreled Premium Fuel, and even the motorcycle will burn one Barreled Premium Fuel every few minutes, looting Portable Mixed Fuel is something that PvE players will be doing a lot of. Running along dirt roads is the best place to find plenty of wrecked cars to loot this material from.
6 Blackheart
All That Glitters Is Not Gold
Gold is, unsurprisingly, a valuable, salable resource in Once Human. However, it is only available in the end-game areas of the map, and in most places, it is extremely rare. The real value of gold is smelting it into ingots, and selling it to NPCs for Energy Links, and this means mining it in bulk.
One of the best places to find gold ore is in the Blackheart region. However, even though gold ore nodes are more prolific in this area, they are still quite rare. Furthermore, from a distance, copper ore nodes can look like gold, which can make gold hunting frustrating at times. Watch out for the packs of high-level wolves in Blackheart as well.
5 Chalk Peak
Fields Of Iron Everywhere, With Some Silver To Boot
Crafting high-end ammo is expensive in Once Human, costing valuable, rare resources. Therefore, many players settle on steel ammo for their everyday load. Steel ammo offers good damage, and only requires 
Steel Ingots to craft, meaning as long as the player has easy access to a ton of iron ore, they won’t need to worry about ammo.
The Chalk Peak region is a fantastic place to mine iron ore. There are vast, flat fields with dozens of iron ore nodes just a few steps apart. It is possible to mine two or three thousand iron in a few minutes in these places. There are also some silver nodes mixed in here as well, adding more incentive to make the trip.
4 Red Sands
For Tungsten And Aluminum
Many high-level crafting recipes require tungsten and/or Aluminum Ingots. Tungsten is only available in the highest-level zones. Red Sands is a good choice, as the player will be sent to this zone as part of the story progression.
Once Human: Best Base Locations
Bases in Once Human are a requirement to do well in the game, and choosing the right location can be critical.
There is plenty of both tungsten and aluminum ore in Red Sands. However, other lower-level ores such as iron are less prolific in these high-level areas. Also, look out for high-level wolf packs while mining ore in Red Sands. They can be very dangerous if a player doesn’t notice they are being stalked while mining.
3 White Cliff
For Automatic Parts
High-level recipes commonly ask for Automatic Parts. These are only available in high-end zones, and can be dropped by Rosetta enemies. However, White Cliff is a POI with loot crates that can contain stacks of automatic parts.
Be careful though, as these Rosette enemies hit hard, and there are rocket troops, snipers, and also several mini-bosses dotted around the POI. White Cliff is best farmed by high-level players with good gear. This is a huge POI with many storage crates to loot, and it can take time to clear it out entirely.
2 PvP Zones
For Barreled Premium Fuel
As already mentioned in this list, Barreled Premium Fuel is the most difficult resource to acquire for most players in Once Human. However, players who are willing to risk entering an active PvP zone, can loot Barreled Premium Fuel from player-occupied oil derricks.
Once Human: Beginner Mistakes To Avoid
Once Human is a complex game with a steep learning curve, so make sure you don't make these simple mistakes.
To do this, open the map, zoom in to an active PvP zone, and look for the oil derrick items that are red, meaning a player hive has claimed them. Then head to those oil derricks and check that there are no active defenses, such as automatic turrets, in place. If there are not, approach the oil derrick and loot it.
1 Holt Town
The Best Acid Farming Spot
Acid is a material that all players will need in great quantities. One of the only ways to get acid in Once Human, is to loot it from deviant enemies. This means finding an efficient and rapid place to farm as much acid as quickly as possible, using the least amount of ammo possible. Holt Town is the best place for doing this.
Holt Town is a level 30 polluted POI. For high-level players, it offers the best balance of energy and ammo expenditure with the quantity of acid that can be looted. An hour in Holt Town for a level 50, well-equiped player can result in 300 to 400 acid being farmed. Lower-level players are better off farming lower-level POIs for acid, but will not get as much.
