Once Human’s Patch 1.1 introduced an exciting new animal ranching feature that allows players to capture and raise animals in their territory. The ranching mechanic lets you turn the post-apocalyptic wasteland into a productive animal ranch, where you can raise and harvest resources from various tamed animals.

You can capture and tame a wide range of animals all across Nalcott, including deer, wolves, bears, and even crocodiles. Each animal has unique characteristics and can provide different resources, such as meat and Rawhides in Once Human. Some animals, particularly aggressive ones like crocodiles, can defend your base against enemy attacks. To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of all the tameable animals and where you can find them.

All Tameable Animals & Where to Find Them in Once Human

Currently, there are a total of 16 different animal species that can be tamed in Once Human, each with its own unique needs and benefits. You can instantly determine which animal can be tamed by checking for a white line on its health bar. To capture the animal, you must reduce its health to the level indicated by the white line.

If an animal lacks this white line on its health bar, it cannot be captured or tamed, regardless of its health condition. Animals like foxes, raccoons, jaguars, and even capybaras are currently not tameable. You can not capture or tame Eclipse and Corrupted animals either.

The table below contains a list of all the tameable animals along with their possible locations in Once Human:

How to Increase Tameness Level in Once Human

In order to get the most out of your captured animals in Once Human, you need to raise their Tameness Level. Although it may seem challenging at first, the process is straightforward if you follow the instructions correctly. After capturing an animal, you can raise its tameness level by keeping its Happiness, Energy, and Hydration meters above 30%.
