A Family Legacy is an optional quest in Once Human that players can initiate by entering a house in Red Sands' Evergreen settlement. To complete this quest, fans must obtain a Treasure Map and use it to locate a Rosetta Safe. This walkthrough is here to elaborate upon that statement, and it will help players complete Once Human's A Family Legacy quest.

Players will visit an area with a recommended level of 49 as they work through A Family Legacy. While it is definitely possible to complete this optional quest in Once Human at a much lower level, fans may want to put it on hold until they hit Level 40+.

Check Mae's Diary in the House

As players approach the house on the north side of Red Sands' Evergreen settlement (coordinates 4550, -2551), they will be instructed to check Mae's diary. That diary can be found on a desk near the house's back door, and fans should approach it and press "F."

Investigate and Rotate Those Bricks & Open Mae's Lockbox

Players must now rotate three blocks that can be found near the kitchen on the first floor. The goal here is to rotate the left block until "U" faces forward, the middle block until "6" faces forward, and the right block until "D" faces forward. Mae's Lockbox will appear next to the blocks when that is done, and fans of survival games should open it to obtain the Rosetta Researcher's Map.

Find the Treasure According to the Treasure Map

Players must now set their sights on the Alternate Reality Research Institute, which can be found at coordinates 6944, -1619 in northeast Red Sands. Upon arriving at this location, fans should make their way to the north side of the institute's southern building and climb the stairs at the northeast corner.

Players should now continue through the building, climbing staircases until they reach the top of a flight that ends directly in front of a black elevator with "ROSETTA" written upon it in yellow. As soon as fans of open-world games see that elevator, they go left and climb another set of stairs, which leads to a lab area.

There is an "R.S.T Lab" in the northeast corner of this area, and there is a Rosetta Safe within it. This container is the treasure that is marked on the Rosetta Researcher's Map, and the A Family Legacy quest will be marked as complete as soon as players collect the items that it holds.

The Rosetta Safe is guarded by a Level 49 elite enemy. If a player is struggling to bring down this dangerous enemy in Once Human, they can simply wait for them to reload and loot the container during that time.
