New weapons are easy to come across for archers and melee users in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, but mages have to seek out specific vendors in order to add new spells to their repertoire. Cyrodiil is home to several spell vendors, though, so aspiring mages can learn new spells whenever they want in Oblivion Remastered as long as they know where to look.
All Birthsigns in Oblivion Remastered Explained
A character's Birthsign in Oblivion grants them unique abilities and stat buffs that make their adventure much easier.
Just like in other Elder Scrolls games, there are multiple different schools of magic in Oblivion Remastered. Not every mage is skilled with every type of magic, however, so players must seek out the correct spell vendor in order to acquire new spells for their desired magic type. These vendors are typically located in close proximity to one another, but there may be some situations where a player needs a Destruction spell and can't find any vendors that sell them. Some spells also have a high Magicka cost, so Oblivion Remastered players may need to upgrade their attributes in order to cast more powerful spells.
Where to Get New Spells in Oblivion Remastered
New spells can be purchased from spell vendors throughout Cyrodiil in Oblivion Remastered. All spell merchants are located in major cities, typically in Mages Guild chapters, Great Chapels, or the occasional magic shop. These are the only places to find spell merchants in Oblivion Remastered, with one exception being Dunbarrow Cove.
Dunbarrow Cove is a DLC player home included in Oblivion Remastered. Located underneath Anvil Castle in the city of Anvil on the western coast of Cyrodiil, players can upgrade Dunbarrow Cove and add new NPCs to the area who sell spells and other things. Mages Guild branches and Great Chapels are still the best places to learn new spells, but Dunbarrow Cove also has some low-level spell vendors once the upgrades have been purchased.

Each of these vendors sells various spells in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, ensuring that all aspiring mages can find what they're looking for at their local Mages Guild chapter or Great Chapel.
After leveling up their magic skills high enough, players can visit the Arcane University in the Imperial City to learn the most powerful spells in the game. These spells are expensive, but Oblivion Remastered players can always pick some locks and "borrow" some new spells if they're short on gold.
