Oblivion Remastered Player Discovers a Major Change to Sneaking
One person playing The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered discovers that a major change has been made to the way Sneaking functions in the RPG.
In a recent post on Reddit, JimicahP asked the developers to add a new way to approach difficulty settings in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. They suggested that, instead of changing flat settings, players should be able to use sliders to modify how much damage their character is taking and dealing out. Using sliders would allow gamers to fine tune their experience, giving them a new way to approach combat in Bethesda's popular RPG.
Oblivion Remastered Players Want Damage Sliders
This isn't the first time The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered's difficulty settings have been criticized, as a large portion of the community feels that the title is either too easy or too hard. Some people have noted that playing the game on Adept (which could be seen as its version of normal) is too simple. Enemies go down in a couple of hits and the main character has to face a lot of foes to truly be in danger. On the other hand, Expert (Oblivion's version of hard) drastically increases the amount of damage it takes to defeat an enemy. Instead of feeling like combat is more challenging, a lot of gamers say that it just stretches out encounters unnecessarily. JimicahP believes that damage sliders could help correct this issue and allow players to find a level of difficulty that works right for them.
While plenty of gamers are enjoying their time with the game, some issues are beginning to pop up. It was recently revealed that the popular RPG might have some kind of memory leak, as The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is having performance issues on consoles. The longer people play, the more pronounced the issues become, with some beginning to pop up as soon as 15 minutes into a play session. Despite a few complaints, many fans are enjoying discovering (or rediscovering) the world of Oblivion Remastered.
