Oblivion Remastered is a hit, already selling over four million copies as of this writing. After rumors swirling for years, the game didn't need any external build-up or hype to sell well, and fans are enjoying visiting Cyrodiil again, or for the first time. However, while the visuals and gameplay of the game have been praised, that doesn't mean that it's without some odd glitches.

Enter tawoorie, who shared their strange moment when they unintentionally caused a Skeleton to start T-posing in the middle of a fight. According to the fan, they were fighting the Nether Lich's Skeleton Hero, when their Hand to Hand Mastery perk kicked in, disarming the Skeleton. As soon as its weapon was removed, the Skeleton began to T-pose at the player. Unfortunately, the player didn't share a video, but they did get a funny screenshot of the Skeleton staring at them while T-posing.

Oblivion Players Express Amusement at T-Posing Skeleton Glitch

Plenty of fans have commented on the post, laughing at the glitch and making jokes about it. Several have suggested that the Skeleton was showing its dominance by T-posing at the player, and tawoorie noted that the Skeleton despawned shortly after the screenshot was taken. Others have shared their own stories, as apparently, this T-pose glitch isn't limited to just Skeletons or even enemies in general. One fan noted that they had seen this with Wraith summons, while another noted that they had seen Jauffre doing it shortly after a battle. Another player said that they had also disarmed a Skeleton like this, but that instead of T-posing, it picked up a secondary weapon, but failed to actually use it.

For those who are curious as to what could be causing this glitch, it's likely due to the models not being able to trigger the correct animation they're supposed to be exhibiting. T-poses are the default pose most game models are created in, and when a game doesn't correctly inform the model as to what animation it's supposed to play, they will either revert to the default T-pose or a generic idle animation. In this particular case, it seems that the programming for the Skeleton didn't work correctly when it was disarmed, so it didn't switch to an animation of using hand-to-hand combat. It's not clear if the reason behind it despawning was due to the glitch, because it was de-summoned by the Lich, or the Lich was defeated, though.
