Next, players will need to choose a good starting word; this word must be five letters long, a real English word, and should contain several common letters. Type this into the site and press enter. This will cause the letters to change colors.

Letters that turn green are right and in the right place.
Letters that turn gray are incorrect and won't be in the final word of the day.
Yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word.
