Wordle is a puzzle game that is currently run and owned by the New York Times Games. This easy little game is fast to play, easy to learn, but quite challenging to master. In order to play, everyone will need to be familiar with the rules of the game.

Here's how to play the NYT version:

First, head to the New York Times Games Wordle website or Crossword app.
Next, choose a good starting word. It should be five letters long, a real English word, not a proper noun, and have a lot of common letters in it.
Type this starting word into the website and press enter.
The letters will change colors to give the player some clues.
Green letters are right, gray are wrong, and yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word.
Players have a total of six tries to get to the answer before they lose.
Puzzles reset daily at 12:00AM local time, so there is only one puzzle per day.
