'No Time To Die' Will Begin International Release In…

The highly-anticipated film No Time To Die has faced several delays since its production started and the release date has been moved at least five times. After it was announced that the James Bond film will premiere on October 8 in the US, Universal and MGM have now confirmed that the film will roll out internationally a week in advance, on September 30.

The 25th flick in the James Bond franchise was initially meant to release in November 2019. Its first setback happened when the then-director Danny Boyle exited the project citing “creative differences,” which led to the release date being pushed back to February 2020 and then further to April. While things seemed to be on track, the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, with the first set of lockdowns being announced in March. This meant the movie’s release had to be postponed again, this time to November.

It became apparent that the box office had not returned to normal in the summer after Christopher Nolan’s Tenet disappointed in the U.S., where most cinemas in the main markets remained closed. Many studios took a cue from this episode and the fact that the pandemic was still going strong, with the vaccine nowhere close to completion, only meant more delays were unavoidable. MGM took a similar decision for No Time To Die and delayed the release further to April 2021 and finally to October of the same year.

No Time to Die marks Daniel Craig's fifth and final appearance as Bond. He first took over the iconic role in Casino Royale, which was released in 2006, followed by Quantum of Solace in 2008, Skyfall in 2012, and Spectre in 2015. It has been six years since the last Bond installment was released, and 14 months since the first trailer for No Time To Die dropped. This means that fans will be looking forward to the latest 007 film finally making its way to the big screen. Apart from Craig, the film stars Ralph Fiennes as M, Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Christoph Waltz, Jeffrey Wright, and Lashana Lynch.
