Developer Moon Studios is releasing a massive No Rest for the Wicked update called The Breach on April 30, adding more than 11,000 changes to the game. With this upcoming update, players can expect new locations, bosses, weapons, modes, quality-of-life improvements, and much more coming to No Rest for the Wicked.

No Rest for the Wicked is an action role-playing game developed by the now fully independent Moon Studios, released in early access for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game features a top-down view and a stamina-based combat system inspired by soulslike titles. Moon Studios decided to launch the game in early access because it is its “most ambitious game to date,” and the studio believes that players' feedback is crucial. In January, the developer teased a major update called The Breach, and now it has unveiled more details.

Wondering how you can change your entire build in No Rest For The Wicked? Here's how you can respec your character.

During the Wicked Inside event, Moon Studios shared an official 25-minute gameplay overview video of the upcoming massive update titled The Breach. Players can expect more than 11,000 changes that double the size of No Rest for the Wicked’s open world, introducing the Mowland Meadows and Marin Woods locations. These massive new zones will bring plenty of new items, traders, and all-new enemies for players to battle.

What’s the Release Date for the The Breach Update?

  • April 30

The Breach update expands upon No Rest for the Wicked’s weapon arsenal by adding new archetypes: gauntlets and wands. The new areas will be packed with a wide range of new enemies like Timber Wight and Rust Reavers, along with many other intriguing bosses blocking players’ paths. Moon Studios also teased several secrets scattered around the map that players can encounter while exploring the new areas. Additionally, certain parts of the map may be infected by the Blight, forcing players to find alternative routes and face unknown enemies in order to progress through the level.

Players looking for a more challenging experience will be pleased to know that The Breach adds a new Hardcore Mode. Additionally, several quality-of-life features are being introduced, such as the ability for players to store more items in their chests and the addition of Whisper Stones, a feature that enables fast travel to players' homes.

As explained by Moon Studios, the goal of The Breach is to provide players with an “insane amount of content” even after they have already finished their first run in No Rest for the Wicked. So now, after the events in The Breach, any area within Isola Sacra can be infected by the Pestilence, which will introduce new enemies and items, expanding the game’s replayability. As players wait for April 30, No Rest for the Wicked has plenty in store for them.
