In games focused on survival, such as No Rest For The Wicked, weight mechanics make the experience more grounded and realistic. Just like in real life, your character can't move in super heavy gear or equip every weapon, so you’ll need to plan out what you can realistically carry before venturing out.

The more weight you carry, the more it affects your Weight Class, ultimately slowing you down and altering your dodge speed and type. Unless a heavier Weight Class is what you’re aiming for, limited carrying capacity can be pretty frustrating. Thankfully, there’s a way to increase how many items you can carry in No Rest For The Wicked.

No Rest for the Wicked: How to Repair Items

Weapons and armor lose durability on death in No Rest for the Wicked. Here is how to repair them when this happens.

How To Increase Carrying Capacity

You can easily increase your carrying by leveling up the Equip Load stats. The Equip Load shows the overall weight your character can carry for equipped items before they begin to take encumbrance. Each point you invest in Equip Load increases your character’s carrying weight by 10 points.

Increasing your Equip Load stat is a great way to equip medium armor without shifting your character’s Weight Class to Normal or Heavy. However, you will need to level up your character and collect enough attribute points to boost your Equip Load stats.

The Equip Load only includes the total weight of your equipped gear and weapons. All items you grab from the world map are stored in your Inventory.

How To Increase Inventory Slots

If you’ve run out of inventory space in No Rest For The Wicked, you can expand your storage to stockpile more resources.

To increase inventory slots, you must first progress through the main campaign and defeat Warrick the Torn. Slaying this boss drops an item called Plague Ichor.

Next, you need to reach the city of Sacrament and bring the Ichor to the Watcher, who is located at the Rookery. The Plague Ichor can be exchanged for one of eight inventory upgrades. These are:

  • Gear Inventory Slots
  • Item Inventory Slots
  • Resource Inventory Slots
  • Misc Inventory Slots
  • Ring Slots
  • Tool Slots
  • Mainhand Slots
  • Offhand Slots

Choosing any of the above options will instantly add more slots to your inventory, which you can use to store more items. It’s recommended to go for the Gear and Resource inventory slots first, as those are the two item types you will frequently be collecting in No Rest For The Wicked.

You can collect more Plague Ichor by defeating bosses and mini-bosses in the game, as well as completing the Weekly bounties.
