Hotfix 6.05 for No Man's Sky is rolling out now, bringing dozens of helpful bug fixes to the popular space exploration title. The developers at Hello Games have been asking all players to report any issues they encounter during their gameplay in an attempt to further improve and polish the No Man's Sky experience, and it seems that new patches are rolling out faster than ever.
Since its controversial 2016 launch, No Man's Sky has seen dozens of free updates, with the team adding new features and content to make up for what many players felt the title was lacking upon its release. In fact, its update cadence has only seemed to ramp up in recent years, with the developers eagerly vetting player feedback and making requested changes in the title whenever possible. In early September, No Man's Sky released a new experimental branch in an effort to fix more frustrating issues that fans have reported following recent major content updates. Now, Hello Games is hard at work again, and a new wave of bug fixes is on the way for players on all platforms.
No Man's Sky: All Corvette Expedition Rewards
No Man's Sky's 19th Expedition, the Corvette Expedition, incorporates a customizable spaceship and grants unique rewards for completing milestones.
Following a large bug-fixing patch for No Man's Sky in early September, more tweaks are on the way, with Hotfix 6.05 currently available for players on Steam and rolling out to other platforms as soon as possible. A wide variety of issues are being addressed with this patch, including many relating to corvettes. A new Thermal Grille Cap corvette structural decoration has been added, and a common collision issue with the corvette landing gear has been fixed. Several crashes have also been fixed, including one that would occur while players were flying their ship, another that happened when using DLSS, and another impacting those building a corvette on the Steam Deck.
Following the highly anticipated release of the Voyagers content update in late August, No Man's Sky saw a huge player count boost, reaching over 93,000 concurrent users on Steam. This was the highest number of players the game had seen since 2018, with the update's addition of customizable corvette ships driving renewed interest in the action-adventure title.
Updates for No Man's Sky don't seem to be slowing down, but a new title is also in the works at Hello Games. Titled Light No Fire, the game will feature building and survival mechanics, and will reportedly be set on a fantasy planet the size of Earth. The title is one of Steam's most wishlisted games, but no concrete release information has been revealed.
