One No Man's Sky player has discovered an enormous hollow mountain with a giant hole that leads to an underground area inside it. The player shared the discovery with the No Man's Sky community on social media, and impressed fans quickly asked for the mountain's address.

Although No Man's Sky is now a great choice for survival game fans, the title wasn’t as good when it first came out in 2016. At the time, it received heavy criticism due to many missing promised features, technical issues, and gameplay perceived as repetitive—with some labeling the game a big disappointment. But instead of abandoning the project, Hello Games committed to a long-term redemption, releasing dozens of free updates that dramatically transformed the game over the years. These updates introduced a wealth of core features like base building, multiplayer, vehicles, space fleets, living ships, expeditions, story content, VR support, and quality-of-life improvements, turning No Man’s Sky into one of the most popular sci-fi survival games in the industry.

Today, No Man's Sky is extremely popular, boasting a huge community with thousands of players who constantly share their discoveries, bases, tips, and much more. And such is the case with Reddit user graysca, who took to the platform to share a short video with the community, showing an enormous hollow mountain they had found. In the video, the player can be seen falling from space, right into a massive hole in the mountain that leads them all the way down to a large underground area.

The impressive fall through the hole took the player about 20 seconds, and the video cuts right after they land on the ground. Naturally, a discovery like that prompted the community to ask the player for the portal address of that No Man’s Sky planet. Another player chimed in to explain that this kind of geography can appear when two planets share their orbital spaces—basically, the collision of two worlds creates these structures.

In addition to new discoveries—which happen all the time in the game's vast world—No Man’s Sky players also share their own creations, like a recent impressive space station with a huge biodome that orbits a planet. Players' creativity in the game knows no bounds, and Hello Games wants to keep encouraging this, recently adding new options for settlement management in the June 2025 “Beacon” update. As fans find new ways to explore the game, No Man’s Sky continues to offer them endless ways to enjoy it.
