While playing No Man’s Sky, a player discovered an alien that had a strange similarity to Buzz Lightyear. No Man’s Sky players often find new and sometimes unusual things while exploring the universe, and this latest encounter with a Buzz Lightyear-looking alien is likely to please fans of the Disney-Pixar character.
Few games have seen more free improvements over the years than No Man’s Sky from Hello Games. While the game received huge hype before its release in 2016, many gamers ultimately felt let down by what was offered at launch. However, as has often been documented, No Man’s Sky redeemed itself in the eyes of many gamers, largely thanks to tons of free updates that aligned the game more with what fans originally expected from the title at launch. As a result, many players still log in each day to explore the nearly endless number of planets in the game.
Recently, one of these players, known as oldeluke on Reddit, discovered an alien with a shockingly similar outfit to Buzz Lightyear while visiting a Space Anomaly in No Man’s Sky. Sharing several images, the player showed that while the alien’s physical features looked nothing like the famous Disney-Pixar character, its spacesuit featured a predominately green and white design. In addition, the NPC’s clothing had some purple accents, and it even had wings reminiscent of Buzz Lightyear’s.
No Man's Sky Alien Resembles Buzz Lightyear
Since oldeluke shared their post on Reddit, many other users have shown interest in the discovery. With over 600 upvotes in less than a day, some fans have made jokes about the peculiar alien. Many highlighted how the suit design looked like Buzz Lightyear, while the NPC’s anatomy was starkly different. For example, the No Man’s Sky alien had massive teeth and reptilian skin.
This unusual alien encounter comes at an exciting time for No Man’s Sky players. Hello Games recently released the Worlds Part 1 update, marking one of the largest overhauls of some of the game’s systems since launch. Specifically, players now have even more reasons to continue to explore the game’s universe as new environmental elements have been added, including new types of fauna and flora. In addition, the game’s graphics received an overhaul, with updates to clouds, water, and more.
With so much more added to the game and players making even more discoveries in No Man’s Sky, it will be interesting to see what other alien life forms are encountered. Perhaps these discoveries will include similarities to other popular Disney-Pixar characters as well.
