A fan of No Man's Sky has an idea for a LEGO set that they're hoping will get made, which has now been approved. The designer is asking people to support the idea in the hopes of it becoming a real set. Although many consider Hello Games' space exploration release to be a rather mindful and relaxing affair, there are those who feel that No Man's Sky can actually be a very stressful open-world game, what with all the surviving and space battles.

So popular is the game now that someone is hoping LEGO will make an official set based on it. Reddit user irascible_Clown has not only proposed an idea for a No Man's Sky set, but they've had it approved. Others can now vote on the design over on the LEGO website, which means that, with enough support, it could be made into an official product in the future. A number of images on the Reddit thread show that irascible_Clown's idea is based on the game's Sentinel Drones, the flying eye-shaped robots that scour planets and protect them from interlopers.

LEGO sets and video games often go hand in hand, with so many releases and franchises being based on the famous Danish blocks. There have been a lot of different designs directly inspired by titles like Mario, Star Wars, Overwatch, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Minecraft. First appearing in the late 20th century, LEGO has gone on to become one of the most popular toys on the planet, with hundreds of billions of bricks being produced every year, and there can be little doubt that many No Man's Sky fans would love to see an official set based on Hello Games' IP.

With No Man's Sky receiving plenty of hotfixes and updates over the years, things are certainly different now for the galaxy exploration title. What went down as one of the most disastrous launches in all of gaming has now become a beloved entry in the sci-fi genre, with a dedicated and growing community.
