No Man's Sky keeps getting new items and mechanics introduced and update 5.10 grants the ability to fish to all players, new and old. While this might sound small in the grand scheme of things, the other additions – like the Exo-Skiff or the Lost Angler's Rig – that surround this new mechanic are what give the charm and identity to the Aquarius update.
And while you can explore the different planets with all the options housed in the Appearance Modifier, the Deep-Sea Diving Suit in No Man's Sky Aquarius update will probably be the best aesthetic choice to swim across and into the deepest depths of water in the universe. Today's guide will describe exactly what you'll need to do to get every single piece of the Deep-Sea Diving Suit in the Aquarius update.
No Man's Sky - Aquarius Update Trailer
Hello Games releases a new and free update for No Man's Sky letting players fish at any watering hole, while also adding new fishing related content.
How to Get Deep-Sea Diving Suit in No Man's Sky
The Deep-See Diving Suit can be obtained by playing and completing the different phases of the Aquarius Expedition in No Man's Sky. You can choose to start a new game or visit the Expedition Terminus in the Anomaly with any other characters to start the Expedition. Four pieces make up the Deep-See Diving Suit and you will unlock them after completing Phases 2 and 3 of the Aquarius Expedition:
- Deep-Sea Flippers (Phase 2)
- Deep-Sea Leggings (Phase 2)
- Deep-Sea Helmet (Phase 3)
- Deep-Sea Armour (Phase 3)
Each Phase is composed of several Milestones that will introduce each addition and new mechanics introduced in update 5.10 for No Man's Sky, so make sure to take note of each of them and how to beat them.
How to Get Deep-Sea Flippers and Leggings in No Man's Sky
The Phase 2 milestones are pretty simple to complete. Just be mindful that, in the case of the Sun of the Water milestone, you will need to collect fish in any system during the day. Not only that, but you will need to get to Irradiated planets for the Feed Water milestone, so make sure that your hazard protection systems are fully charged since you will need to find uncommon fish in No Man's Sky.

How to Get Deep-Sea Helmet and Armour in No Man's Sky
The same thing applies to Phase 3. While simple, these milestones are more time-consuming than the ones in Phase 2. For example, you must build an underwater base for the Child of the Sea milestone. Do not worry, though, since, in No Man's Sky, you can just build a room and a Base Computer and that will suffice. The Lazy Fisherman milestone will have you build Automated Traps, so check out the materials you will need below:
-
50x Salt: Found as a secondary element in some minerals, as a primary element in underwater minerals, and inside Resource Deposits. You can also use a Refiner to get Salt:
- 1x Chlorine + 2x Salt.
- 1x Di-hydrogen +1x Oxygen.
- 3x Metal Plating: Use 50x Ferrite Dust to build one Metal Plating.
-
1x Ion Battery: Use its blueprint to make one Ion Battery with 5x Ferrite Duse and 10x Cobalt. Alternatively, you can refine one Ion Battery with the following ingredients:
- 10x Ferrite Dust + 10x Sodium + 10x Silver.
