With the Remnant Update for No Man's Sky, players are now able to clean up Industrial Waste as intergalactic garbage collectors. One way this is achieved is with the new gravity gun, which is an upgrade module for the Multi-Tool, known as the Gravitino Coil. To get this module, players will need a Blueprint and certain crafting materials. This guide will also show players how to use the Gravitino Coil in No Man's Sky.

Where To Get The Gravitino Coil Blueprint In No Man's Sky
The Blueprint for the Gravitino Coil can be purchased at The Anomaly, No Man's Sky's central hub, which can be summoned anywhere in space. It is bought from the NPC in charge of Multi-Tool research, Iteration: Eos.
To find Eos, head up a ramp to the left of the nexus, and once you reach the large corridor, turn left and head toward a floating model of the anomaly. There are a number of NPCs at stations here, and Eos is on the right.
The Blueprint for the Gravitino Coil is on the right, derived from the Advanced Mining Laser. It costs 520 Nanites to unlock.
How To Craft The Gravitino Coil In No Man's Sky
The following materials are required to craft the Gravitino Coil in No Man's Sky:
- x3 Magnetic Resonator
- x1 Gravitino Ball
- x50 Chromatic Metal
Once players have all these components, they can install the Gravitino Coil on their Multi-Tool.
If you need an extra slot in your Multi-Tool, purchase one at a Space Station for Units. Look for the Multi-Tool Upgrade Station
How To Get The Magnetic Resonators
The Blueprint for the Magnetic Resonator can be purchased from the Synthesis Laboratory, right next to Eos. It costs 250 Nanites.
To craft one Magnetic Resonator, players will need:
- x40 Magnetized Ferrite
- x40 Ionized Cobalt
As three Resonators are required, 120 of each of these resources is required.
- Magnetized Ferrite can be refined from Pure Ferrite, or from Ferrite Dust plus something like Copper.
- Ionized Cobalt can be purchased from Galactic Trade Terminals at Space Stations for Units, or it can be refined from Cobalt or Cobalt and Oxygen for a greater yield.
How To Get The Gravitino Ball
The Gravitino Ball can be found on planets with hostile sentinels. The sentinel status of a planet will show up when scanning it from a distance.
Use your Analysis Visor to scan for a yellow diamond icon with a sphere inside. It should be labeled as a Sentient Plant. Taking a Gravitino Ball from one of these plants will cause the sentinels to come after you, so make sure your ship is nearby for a quick escape.
Gravitino Balls can also be found at Ancient Ruins or farmed from the Gravitino Host plant.
How To Get The Chromatic Metal
Chromatic Metal can be refined from stellar metals, with the most common of these being Copper. As it's a 2:1 ratio, you'll need 100 Copper.
Copper deposits can be found on many planets.

How To Use The Gravitino Coil In No Man's Sky
Once players have installed the Gravitino Coil, cycle through the Multi-Tool with G until it's equipped.
It's best to find some Industrial Waste with the scanner, or head over to a Waste Processing Plant, the nearest of which should appear as an objective after crafting the gravity gun.
To use the Gravitino Coil, click RMB to apply gravity to an item and pick it up. You can then carry it where needed. Then press LMB to fling the waste, ideally into the correct place of disposal at the plant. You can also press RMB again to drop the waste.
Other items can also be tossed around with the gravity gun, and who knows, perhaps a new galactic sport could emerge.
