It's almost impossible to trust anyone in No, I'm Not a Human. If the Guest who tries to enter your house isn't a Visitor, then they're probably still not a nice person, which is why it's important now more than ever to have a furry friend. Players can get their hands on a feline companion in No, I'm Not a Human, providing them with a Cat that does far more than simply look cute. Players are going to want to check out the guide below to see how to get the Cat in No, I'm Not a Human, and to see what it actually does that makes it so important to have.
No, I'm Not a Human: All Visitors
Visitors are dangerous creatures that disguise themselves as people in No, I'm Not a Human. Here's how to tell if you've encountered one.
How to Get the Cat in No, I'm Not a Human
In order to get the Cat in No, I'm Not a Human, you will need to let the Cat Lady (Ballerina) into your home, who appears at the door on Day 4. It's fairly obvious that the Cat Lady is not human, but you need to let her in if you want to get the Cat. The Cat Lady is ALWAYS a Visitor, so once you've invited her into your house, you should either give her a FEMA Notice or use your gun to kill her so that she doesn't add to the selection of Visitors that make it into your home.
Visitors will only begin killing your Guests if there are 2 or more Visitors in the house, so make sure you know all Visitors in No, I'm Not a Human (guide here) before letting her in and getting your human allies killed. Either way, you should let the Cat Lady inside and then kill her in the morning.
The Cat Lady will not enter the house if players have the Nun present, so you will be forced to kick out the Nun to have the Cat.
What Does the Cat Do in No, I'm Not a Human?
The Cat isn't just a cute pet that you can pet and carry around, as although those actions are cute, they serve no purpose in No, I'm Not a Human. However, the Cat does have an extremely useful mechanic. If you feed Cat Food to the Cat, then it will prevent Visitors from killing Guests in the night. Every 3 days, you can use the phone and dial 007890 to order two cans of Cat Food. You will then receive Cat Food from the ForRest deliveryman at night, then simply approach the Cat and feed it the Cat Food to see it ward off death. This buff only lasts the night that you feed the Cat the Cat Food, so be sure to feed the Cat again if you are nervous about Visitors killing your Guests. The Cat cannot detect Visitors or be used for anything other than preventing death.
Having the Cat also allows you to open the Basement, which is found under the rug of the hallway. The Basement is necessary to unlock 2 secret endings: Embrace the Inevitable and Shroom or Doom. The Cat itself is not important to the ending, but is simply a requirement to access it.
