Indie publisher No Gravity Games is allowing fans to snag up to 12 Switch games for free as part of its 12 Games of Christmas giveaway. The free games shown so far include a mix of strategy, horror, and physics puzzle games, though fans will need to pay close attention and act fast if they want to get the rest.

No Gravity Games is an indie game publisher with 50 titles under its belt. While the company’s catalog includes several Xbox One and PlayStation 4 games, it’s primarily a Switch publisher, with PC a close second. And while these titles aren’t famous, there is undoubtedly a good variety of games and genres on display. Last December, the publisher gave away 12 free games through its 12 Games of Christmas giveaway, and it brought the event back for 2022.

No Gravity Games announced the 12 Games of Christmas giveaway with a trailer on November 29 and gave away its first free Switch game on December 5. The solution describes it as resembling an advent calendar for free games, giving one away every 24 hours until Christmas. Gamers can participate by owning at least one game from No Gravity’s library. Then, they need to claim each game the day it becomes available for free. Participants must own all of the previous games in the chain before they can get the next one for free, so the sooner fans sign up, the more they will save.

Gamers can get one game for free by signing up for No Gravity’s newsletter, making them eligible for the rest of the giveaway. The first free games already came and went, though players can catch up on the chain by picking them up on sale. The first of the twelve games is Exorder 2, which is on sale for $1.99. A fantasy turn-based strategy game, it features a 12-mission Campaign, 8 Challenge Maps, and cross-platform Multiplayer. The second game, Graviter, is a 2D physics puzzle game where players must rescue a kitten lost in space. It is also on sale for $1.99.

Meanwhile, the 2D Switch horror game Creepy Tale is No Gravity Game’s free game for December 7. The game follows its protagonist’s quest to rescue his brother from horrific creatures. The Switch horror game features a gloomy 2D art style and gameplay with a heavy focus on stealth and puzzle solving as players uncover the mysteries of the haunted forest. It retails for $9.99 on the Switch store, but players who already own Exorder 2 and Graviter can pick it up for free.
