Unlock Requirement: The Great Shogun of the Heian Era Myth unlocks during the “The Battle of Saigagake” main mission, after the cutscene where Ii Naotora opens the gate to Saigagake.

After The Great Shogun of the Heian Era Myth appears in the mission log, talk to Tokugawa Ieyasu on the top floor of Hamamatsu Castle to learn that he wants to seek out the protection of the former shogun Minamoto no Yoritomo by making an offering of a Candle Dish at his temple in Lake Sanaru.

If the correct dialogue does not trigger when talking to Tokugawa, find The Great Shogun of the Heian Era Myth in the Progress tab and “Prioritize” the mission by pressing Space (PC) or X (PS5).

Head to the location marked on the map above, and you’ll be attacked by a powerful Yokai called Onryoki. You'll need to defeat Onryoki to dispel the energy barrier blocking the path into the temple.

After defeating Onryoki, enter the temple and loot the corpse on the ground. Jump down into the large hole in the floor. Follow the stairs leading down and traverse the Spirit Vein using Enko to reach the other side.

In the last chamber, look for a small offering altar in front of the six Jizo. Interact with it to place the Candle Dish here.

The Six Jizo statue near the altar will ask you to make an offering. This is actually a Mujine Yokai in disguise who will jump out and attack you when you offer gold. After you defeat it, you’ll be able to pray to the Six Jizo normally to earn +50 Jizo Merit.
