Shrines in Nioh 3 allow players to replenish their health, level up, and restore their Elixirs. These also act as fast travel points all across the map, making exploration much easier. After reaching the Heian era and progressing through the story segment here, players will be tasked with purifying the three barriers. As you head south, you will reach the Funaokayama region that has a few myths on the west side.
If you head east instead, you will come across a Shrine up on the hill that is inaccessible from the ground. Continuing forward will put you in the next region. As this might confuse quite a lot of players, the answer to how to get to the Shrine is explained in the Nioh 3 guide below.
How to Reach the Frozen Ghost Town Shrine (Funaokayama) in Nioh 3
While facing the Shrine up on the hill, head towards the area on the left where you can find numerous enemies. Deal with them if they start chasing you, then drop down to where you can find a corpse next to some wooden boxes.
Attack using your melee weapon or roll through these boxes to break them, revealing a small passage. Crouch and make your way through, and head straight to find a path on the right leading to the Shrine.
You can find the Sudama sitting right next to the Shrine, who sells quite a few useful items like the Sacred Water, which can increase Ki Recovery. You can also exchange your Yokai Teardrops to get Craft Guides and Skills Text.
After this, if you take the path left instead of right, which leads to the Shrine, you will find a Spirit Vein up ahead. Now, since you have the Spirit Guardian with you, you can break this, which leads to a few items you can loot along with Ninja and Samurai Locks.
