A lot of the soulslike games have hidden secrets that players might miss out on during their initial playthrough. One of the most popular things that a lot of players have made a habit of checking is fake or illusory walls that could hide treasure, rare equipment, or even collectibles behind.
The same could be said about Nioh 3, but because of the new exploration system added into the game, the secret walls are marked on the map as Nurikabe. Also present in the previous games, these are living walls that imitate the surrounding area. Here is how players can open them without getting crushed by their massive weight in Nioh 3.

How to Open Nurikabe Walls in Nioh 3
When you come across a Nurikabe wall, you will notice that it has eye sockets that will open up and look at you at all times. Now, if you were to attack the wall to get past, it would crush you and, if you are still left standing, fight you.
Since a lot of the time you might be low on health or heals from enemy encounters around the location, you might not want to fight the Nurikabe wall to get past. Do not worry, as there is an alternate and harmless way to get through.
In the case that you are planning to fight the wall, then you should attack from a distance using your Ninjutsu to gain the upper hand.
When you come to the Nurikabe wall, you need to look around to spot a red grave. You do not need to summon and fight the Revenant; simply hovering over them should give you the info on their death. It will say, "Crushed to death by Nurikabe for their hostile behavior." That last part can be neutral behavior as well, but the main thing you need to notice is the color of the last two words.
Now that you know the information, stand next to the Nurikabe and open up your gestures tab by pressing the emote button, which is R1/RB + Start/Options button on your controller. Once you have the three different color gestures in front of you, you will now have to press the emote, which is not the color mentioned in the grave note. In the case that the color was red, you will now have to perform any blue or yellow gesture.
If you perform one of these two and that was not the correct gesture, Nurikabe's eyes will turn red, but it will not act. You still have one more chance, and you can simply press the other color gesture to make the Nurikabe go away and drop its loot.
Alternatively, if you manage to get to the back of the wall, you can remove the talisman, which will make it go away.
