Amrita is the main resource players use for leveling up in Nioh 3, and in typical Soulslike fashion, this is earned mainly through combat and special consumables. Naturally, this means that farming Amrita will involve a lot of fighting, and if you want to level up quickly in Nioh 3, you'll want to find a spot with strong enemies that are easy to defeat.
In this guide, we'll be going over some of the best Amrita farming spots early on in Nioh 3, as well as the very basics of how to get tons of Amrita regardless of where you are in the game.
Hands-On with Nioh 3: Dual Playstyles, Tough Bosses, and Tense Moments
After 3 hours with Nioh 3, it's already locked itself into my personal list of most anticipated games for 2026 thanks to its strong action gameplay.
Best Way to Farm Amrita in Nioh 3
If you want to get as much Amrita as possible in a short amount of time, the best thing you can do is to find a strong enemy that's near a Shrine or Bodhisattva Statue. From there, it's all a matter of bullying your prey, resetting at the checkpoint, and doing it all over again.
Best Early Game Amrita Farming Spot
At the beginning of the game, the best place where you can farm Amrita is during the Escape from Hitokoto Slope mission, which takes place directly after you finish the tutorial. Progress through the level until you reach the Shrine in front of the boss room. There's a Yoki near here that you can repeatedly farm for approximately 500 Amrita per kill. Once you're satisfied with the Yoki, fight the boss in the adjacent area to end the mission while getting more Amrita and spare weapons for crafting/upgrading in Nioh 3.
When fighting the Yoki, break its horn as soon as possible through ranged attacks, jump attacks, or any attack that swings vertically. Once its horn is broken, every hit you land on the Yoki will make it bleed Amrita, potentially increasing your total Amrita gain to ~800 per kill.
Hamamatsu Castle Town Farming Spot
The Hamamatsu Castle Town inside the Crucible in the first region of Nioh 3 has a respawning Ippon Datara, a one-eyed, one-legged Yokai that yields ~1000 Amrita per kill. This is a much better enemy to farm than the Yoki in Hitokoto Slope, even if it's slightly harder to fight.
You can still farm these enemies after you progress through the initial Hamamatsu questline by going to a Shrine and replaying their respective missions in the Battle Scroll screen.
Vital Spirit Skill
There's an enemy base just north of the Prospect Hill Shrine in the 1572 CE - Warring States map that contains the Vital Spirit skill, which increases the Amrita you gain from defeated enemies by 4%. Grab that, and make sure to equip it every time you plan on farming for Amrita.
Offer Loot to Shrines
The excess loot you get can be converted into Amrita by offering them to Shrines. Pray to a Shrine, select Preparations, then select the Make an Offering option. Pick all the unwanted gear you want to offer to get a decent chunk of Amrita.
If you offer a weapon with max Familiarity, you'll get more Amrita than usual. With that being said, when you're farming enemies for Amrita, you may want to use a different weapon that you have no Familiarity with, then farm enemies until you reach max Familiarity with the weapon. Afterward, offer the weapon for extra Amrita.
You can make item offering a bit more convenient by turning on the Auto Dispose setting in Nioh 3's Basic Game Settings menu.
