There are a couple of ways players can obtain Ochoko Cups in Nioh 3. The cup is not necessary for the game nor does it affect the story, but it does help struggling players, as it allows them to summon friendly NPCs to aid in battle. Here's how to get Ochoko Cups and how to use them to call a helpful NPC in Nioh 3.
8 Best Games That Get Better As You Play
Some games drop you right into the action, but these excellent titles require a bit warming up to, getting better the longer you spend with them.
How To Get Ochoko Cup In Nioh 3
Defeating Revenant
The most common method to get Ochoko Cups is to summon a Revenant from a Bloody Grave. The enemy takes the form of a previous player who died in the area and fights you according to their style and equipment. Defeating them rewards players with their equipment as well as Ochoko Cups. There is no set location for Bloody Graves, as you will find them naturally while exploring.
Leave Benelovant Graves
Another method is to use a Righteous Spirit and leave a Benevolent Grave of your character to be summoned by other players. You can leave as many as you want on the ground. Players can either buy Righteous Spirit from the merchant or obtain it for free after completing an objective with a summoned NPC.
When players use your Benevolent Grave, they will summon you as an NPC, and once the objective is complete, players will get Ochoko Cups as rewards. Head to the Shrine and claim them from the Boons.
Exploration
Occasionally, players can loot bodies while exploring to get Ochoko Cups as well.
How To Use Ochoko Cup In Nioh 3
Upon encountering a Benevolent Grave, you can offer it the required number of Ochoko Cups to summon a friendly NPC. They are players who left their graves to help someone in need of an extra hand in battles. The blue graves can be located sometimes randomly while exploring or near a Dark Realm entrance, but most of the time they are heavily found near a boss room.
The summoned NPC will lend you their blade for either a certain number of battles or until your current objective is complete. Players can try to gauge the remaining time by looking at the purple bar above the NPC's name on the left.
It's also possible to become a visitor in another player's world by choosing Co-op at the Shrine. Offer an Ochoko Cup and wait for a player to accept you into their world.
