Abundant Evil is one of the first Myths that will pop up right after completing the first Crucible section in Nioh 3 and defeating Jokutsu-Baba. As you make your way to the top of Hamamatsu Castle, you will talk to Honda Tadakatsu, who wants you to check out Maisaka Post that has been seized by the Yokai.

Honda will accompany the player for the first part of this quest. The Abundant Evil quest as a whole is longer than quite a few side quests in the game, and the guide below offers a walkthrough for it in Nioh 3.

How to Unlock Crucible Weapon Arts in Nioh 3

Crucible Arts are weapon skills that players won't be able to get through skill points in Nioh 3.

To reach Maisaka Post, you will need to go south of Hamamatsu, and there should be a path that leads to Maisaka. Just follow the road west until you spot Honda Tadakatsu, who is standing outside the Post waiting for you. After talking to him, head inside, and you will have to clear out this enemy base of all the Yokai.

The Yokai inside the house to the right will not spawn until you have dealt with all the other enemies. There are a few enemies who are positioned on top of houses, so try to take them out using your bow so you do not have to fight an enemy while getting rocks thrown at you from afar. Once all the Yokai have been dealt with and the base secured, talk to Honda, who will mention The Haunting Caves.

Your next objective is to go south of Maisaka to the cave and deal with the Yokai threat inside. There should be a single road that you can follow south, and you will reach the Haunting Caves Shrine.

This is quite a large cave filled with collectibles that you should ideally gather, as all of them provide passive or other benefits to your character.

Explore the dungeon to the point where you find the boss residing at the end of the Caves, Hino-enma.

This is one of the more challenging bosses you will face early on in the game. The boss has some melee attacks that should ideally be parried or blocked, along with a grab that has a long animation, giving you time to dodge out. Hino-enma has several attacks that can paralyze you, leaving you unable to act for a few seconds. These are the attacks to watch out for the most, as the boss can follow up with an unblockable, which can deal a lot of damage.

When it comes to the unblockable attack, she will move back and try to fly through you. Performing a Burst Attack consistently can help you dish out damage to the boss's health and lower the stagger bar.

When the second phase starts, your focus should be to stay underneath her at all times whenever she flies up. This is because one of her new attacks involves her shooting orbs of water all around her, which deal damage and leave behind a circle that makes Ki recovery slow until you perform Ki Pulse to cleanse it.

After defeating the boss, find the Sudamas, then travel back to the Maisaka Post Shrine and talk to Honda to complete the quest.
