The Nintendo Switch 2 had a decent 2025, at least for a new console that is still building momentum. We got some great first-party titles and a couple of solid ports; however, if everything goes right, last year should be merely a precursor to a better sequel. Although the year is still taking shape, there are already quite a few exciting upcoming Switch 2 games for 2026, particularly for the first quarter. While not stacked with first-party projects so far, the Switch 2 game lineup has plenty of third-party offerings, including major titles that will release simultaneously with other consoles.
Whether you have already bought a Switch 2 and are looking for your next timesink, or if you are searching for that one new game that will justify picking up the console, you will want to keep an eye on all the titles coming soon to Nintendo's latest hardware. Let's go through all the major games announced for 2026.
The upcoming Switch 2 games were added on February 3, 2026: Gear.Club Unlimited 3, FZ: Formation Z, Draw King, Lovish, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, The Disney Afternoon Collection, Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club, OPUS: Prism Peak, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, High on Life 2, LoveR Kiss: Endless Memories, The Witch's Bakery, Monster Girls and the Mysterious Adventure Remastered Edition, Tamer Town, Baptiste, People of Note, Mariachi Legends

February 2026 Switch 2 Games
Resident Evil, Mario Tennis, Dragon Quest, & More
February 2026 is an all-around great month, and that includes the Switch 2. In terms of exclusives, Mario Tennis Fever is a relatively big deal, provided somebody generally enjoys the franchise's sports games.
However, the more exciting releases are third-party titles, particularly Resident Evil Requiem. Besides being huge in a vacuum, the fact that Capcom's game will launch on the Switch 2 is a real statement of intent. Resident Evil 7 and Village are also receiving Switch 2 ports, so people looking for a good scare could be set for quite a while.
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Reanimal, and Yakuza Kiwami 3's remake are also big deals.

March 2026 Switch 2 Games
Pokemon Pokopia, Fatal Frame, & More
Another pretty good month for Switch 2, March 2026 will be defined by a few sizable titles, including Pokemon Pokopia. A farming/life sim set in Game Freak's absurdly successful universe, Pokopia sounds like a dream game. If you want a creature-collection JRPG, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection should be a safe bet. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake is also an exciting prospect.

April 2026 Switch 2 Games
High On Life, Pragmata, & More
Right now, April 2026 only has a handful of Switch 2 games, although the month will likely fill up a bit more over the coming weeks. Still, a couple of big names are set for the month. Although debuting about two months after other systems, High on Life 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it will hopefully be even better than its predecessor.
So far, Pragmata might be April's standout release, especially for anybody who gets excited when Capcom decides to get its weird on. A third-person action-adventure game that seems to focus on hacking and puzzles, along with shooting. Also, the protagonist's best weapon seems to be a little girl.
- April 20: High on Life 2
- April 23: Kingdom's Return: Time-Eating Fruit and the Ancient Monster
- April 24: Pragmata

Nintendo Switch 2 owners can expect their library of games to grow greatly in the coming future.
Other Upcoming Switch 2 Games For 2026 (& Beyond)
Fire Emblem, Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Yoshi, & More
As the Switch 2 is still so young and filled with life, the future is both bright and somewhat unfocused. We know some of the big Switch 2 games that will launch over the next year or two, with games like The Duskbloods likely to drop in 2026. However, there is still so much we don't know. When will the first proper The Legend of Zelda arrive? How about a 3D Mario? They will happen, but we don't know when or how.
