- More Switch 2 details will come on April 2.
It's been confirmed that the split-screen co-op game PowerWash Simulator 2 will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 this past January, but developers started confirming their games for the system well before then. Indie devs in particular started confirming that their games would be released for the Switch 2.
In the months leading up to the Switch 2's reveal, games like Bestiario and My Time at Evershine were confirmed for the Switch 2. It was also confirmed that Yooka-Replaylee would be releasing for the Switch 2 as well. Nintendo itself has so far only confirmed one game for the Switch 2, that being the new Mario Kart game.
PowerWash Simulator 2 Announced, Releasing This Year
Pressure washing gamers won't have long to wait for new jobs and more as FuturLab reveals that PowerWash Simulator 2 is coming sometime this year.
Now yet another game has been confirmed for the Switch 2. PowerWash Simulator 2 was recently announced for release in 2025, offering improved graphics, new challenges, and split-screen co-op support. PowerWash Simulator 2's trailer confirmed that the game would be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with no mention of any Nintendo Switch 2 version. However, Eurogamer confirmed that PowerWash Simulator 2 is indeed in the works for the new Nintendo console.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is Coming to the Switch 2
Nintendo fans shouldn't have to wait too much longer to find out about more games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. A special Switch 2 Direct is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 2 at 8:00am CT. Nintendo has not actually said what the event will include, but it will most likely confirm the Switch 2's release date, price, and pre-order information. It's also highly likely that the Switch 2 Direct will also shine a spotlight on the first batch of Switch 2 games, including the platform's launch titles and games releasing within the launch window.
There are all kinds of rumors about games that Nintendo supposedly has planned for the Switch 2. One of the prevailing ones is that a new Super Mario game is coming to the Switch, potentially as early as this year, and that it will be open world. While a new 3D Super Mario game is a virtual guarantee for the Switch 2, the jury is still out on whether the game will be open world or not. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the new Mario Kart game, PowerWash Simulator 2, and the various other titles that have already been confirmed for the upcoming home console/handheld hybrid. More concrete information on the Switch 2 and its games will come to light on Wednesday, April 2.
