Developed by Nick Oztok, Aurascope is a 2D action-adventure collectathon that reached its initial Kickstarter funding target of $30,000 on April 23. Less than a month later, total funding has reached over $49,000, unlocking multiple stretch goals, including Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 ports. The game sees players taking on the roles of dual protagonists Trace and Aurora, as they uncover the secrets of the magical Aurascope and use its abilities to collect Energy Cores and restore the power of the Islands of Starlight. Aurascope features interactive environments and objects, diverse enemies, abundant collectibles, and multiple game modes. Similar to platforming games like the Kirby and Shantae franchises, players will gain new skills as they progress and will need to put these abilities to the test to overcome obstacles in the platforming adventure of Aurascope.
