In its latest financial report, Nintendo has highlighted six Switch 2 exclusive games that are coming to the home console/handheld hybrid in the relatively near future. The Switch 2 got off to an incredible start, becoming the fastest-selling console ever made thanks to a strong launch lineup that was followed by heavy-hitting games like Donkey Kong Bananza and Kirby Air Riders.

The Switch 2 is still in the first year of its life, but it is wasting no time releasing more exclusive games to keep early adopters happy and draw in new players. Nintendo's 2026 plans still remain mostly a mystery at this point, but the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase happening this week should help fill out the coming months. In the meantime, Nintendo itself has plenty of first-party games on the way for its latest console, and it decided to reaffirm some of them in its latest financial report.

Nintendo Switch 2 Has 6 Big Games Releasing in February 2026

Nintendo Switch 2 gamers have quite a bit to look forward to thanks to the February 2026 lineup of new games.

Nintendo's latest financial report revealed the best-selling Switch 2 games so far, and also highlighted six exclusive first-party games that are releasing in the near future. The first one on deck is Mario Tennis Fever, launching February 12, followed by Pokemon Pokopia on March 5, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup at Bellabel Park on March 26. Those are the only games with solid release dates at the time of this writing, but we do know the release windows of some other Switch 2 exclusives that are currently in development.

New Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive Games Releasing Soon

  • Mario Tennis Fever - February 12
  • Pokemon Pokopia - March 5
  • Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup at Bellabel Park - March 26
  • Yoshi and the Mysterious Book - Spring 2026
  • Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave - 2026
  • Splatoon Raiders - TBD

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is coming to the Switch 2 at some point this spring. Assuming it sticks to that release window, the new Yoshi game should be out by June 20. Nintendo hasn't really revealed much about its first-party plans beyond March, so expect a non-Partner Showcase Nintendo Direct at some point soon to solidify Yoshi and the Mysterious Book's release date and give a clearer picture about what to expect from Nintendo in the spring.

Later in 2026, Switch 2 owners can also look forward to Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The Fire Emblem games have consistently been some of the most critically-acclaimed games from Nintendo, and there's no reason to expect anything different from Fortune's Weave. If Fortune's Weave meets its announced 2026 release window, then Switch 2 owners should have an incredible new strategy adventure on their hands at some point this year.

And finally, Splatoon Raiders still has a "TBD" release window. Splatoon Raiders is an intriguing single-player take on the Splatoon franchise and I personally can't wait to learn more about it. Hopefully it releases in 2026 as well, though that remains to be seen.

Big Switch 1 Games Are Releasing in 2026, Too

Of course, the Switch 2 is backward compatible with the original Switch, and so games releasing for the older console are relevant to the platform as well. We know that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is coming on April 18, while Rhythm Heaven Groove and Pokemon Champions still have vague 2026 release windows at the time of this writing. In any case, between the new games coming to the Switch 2 and the new games releasing for the original Switch, Nintendo fans should have no shortage of exciting new games to play this year.
