The top eight racers will be selected based on the number of points accumulated in up to 24 races during a specific tournament day. Once the player qualifies on the top 8, they won't have to do anything to claim their My Nintendo Gold Coins, given that it will be automatically added to their Nintendo Accounts.

It is worth noting that players should ensure that their Nintendo Accounts are properly linked to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to avoid issues. Although the races' intensity will be difficult to predict, players should expect competition to be fierce. Last August, Nintendo hosted another Mario Kart 8 competition, and the tournament was at 150 cc. This year's tournament will likely be the same, so players should expect a fast-paced race.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
