A well-known leaker thinks that there will be a Nintendo Direct livestream in the next nine days. 2025 has been an exciting year for Nintendo fans thanks to the Switch 2, which launched in June alongside Mario Kart World and a host of other launch titles. A little over a month later, Donkey Kong Bananza won gamers over with its fun destruction mechanics, providing the Switch 2 with another smash hit right out of the gate.

Nintendo still has several promising first-party games planned for the remainder of 2025, and rumors suggest that a new Nintendo Direct livestream may showcase some of them in July. Little over a week ago, YouTube user and industry leaker NateTheHate claimed that this Direct would happen sometime in the latter part of the month, after Donkey Kong Bananza hit store shelves and became a juggernaut success. However, there has yet to be any sort of announcement from Nintendo about a future livestream.

Nintendo Switch 2 owners may soon be able to play one of the most beloved and highly rated RPGs in recent memory, according to a new leak.

On Twitter, NateTheHate recently maintained their belief that a Nintendo Direct will be held before the end of July. When asked by another Twitter user if this supposed Nintendo Direct will still happen, NateTheHate said that “to their knowledge” it will. NateTheHate has correctly predicted things like the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch date, and past rumors have claimed that third-party developers are waiting to announce big things for the new console. However, these reports should still be taken with a grain of salt until more substantial announcements are made.

July 2025 Nintendo Direct Still Expected

The resulting Twitter thread is filled with questions about whether or not the Nintendo Direct in question will be centered around upcoming first-party titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, or will instead be a “Partners” showcase focused on third-party software. Earlier this week, Nintendo shed further light on Pokemon Legends: Z-A during a Pokemon Presents livestream, but there are still plenty of exciting games without official release dates like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment or Kirby Air Riders.

Perhaps these titles will be shown off during the rumored July 2025 Nintendo Direct livestream, which NateTheHate thinks will happen sometime in the next week or so. Other Nintendo fans are hoping for new announcements for long-dormant franchises like Star Fox or the Mario baseball games. If there really is a Nintendo Direct planned for July 2025, Nintendo will likely announce it soon, given there are only nine more days left in the month.
