There are three types of collectibles in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound: Crystal Skulls, Golden Scarabs, and Scrolls. While it is not mandatory that players find every collectible, there are several reasons for them to do so. Namely, Golden Scarabs are used to unlock new equipment, and Scrolls give players access to secret levels. This guide is intended for players who want to track down all the collectibles in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, and it is organized by Act.
A collectible is only considered collected if the associated mission is completed after it is grabbed. As such, if a player returns to a mission in order to pick up a collectible that they missed, they should be prepared to finish the stage once again.

Scrolls
- After the Demons! (1-3)
Near the beginning of main mission 1-3, players will pass through a cave where they meet Muramasa. After speaking with that character, players should continue to the right, stopping when they are forced to climb upward. There is a cracked wall in the bottom-right corner of this screen, and players can destroy it by repeatedly striking it. Players can then head to the right side of the secret room, using Guillotine boosts to clear the spikes, and find the Scroll.

Scrolls
- Midnight Assault (2-1)
Play through main mission 2-1 until you reach the third elevator, which crashes downward when Kumori enters it. Go left at the bottom, and follow the path that was just used to reach the third elevator. Drop on top of the elevator, and enter the room that is up and to the left. The Scroll is on the left side of that room.
Act 3 Collectibles in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
Entwined Fates (3-1)
- Crystal Skull #1
Not long after passing the level's checkpoint, players will descend a rock slope, and there is a sparkle at the top of the screen that is being created by a Crystal Skull. Notably, this slope appears just before the tutorial that covers blue auras and red auras.
A Perilous Desert (3-2)
- Golden Scarab #1
At the very beginning of the level, drop to the suspended rectangular rock. Standing on this rock will cause a square rock to rise, and players can then use it to reach the Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarbs #2, 3 & 4
Continue through the stage to reach a section with a series of zip lines. A Golden Scarab can be seen above one of those zip lines, and players should quickly grab onto the ceiling to reach it.
- Crystal Skul #1
There is a checkpoint and a Demon Altar just past the zip line section. Enter the altar, traverse the course, and repeatedly strike the cog at the end to raise a suspended boulder. As Kenji, quickly climb up the shaft that the boulder was raised through to grab a Crystal Skull.
- Crystal Skull #2
After the zip line ride with the large eel-like monsters, players should follow the path and descend through a corridor when they are forced to do so. At the bottom, break the cracked wall on the left to gain access to an area with a Crystal Skull.
- Scroll
Continue along the critical path to activate another checkpoint and descend into a subterranean area. At the bottom of this area, players will find a cracked wall on the left side, and they should repeatedly strike it to break through. Players should then enter the Demon Altar and use Kumori to get through the course that appears. The Scroll is at the end of that course.
- Golden Scarab #5
There is a zip line to the right of the aforementioned cracked wall, and there is a Golden Scarab just above it. Go just right of the Scarab to cause some enemies to appear, and then Guillotine boost off them to reach the collectible.
- Crystal Skull #3
Advance through the area with the bloody water, stopping after you descend on to the top of a wooden platform. The final Crystal Skull is on top of the water in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Ancient Pirate Cave (3-3)
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Enter the cave and activate the first checkpoint. Break the cracked wall to the right to enter an area with the Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #1
After passing through the cave with the large waterfall, players will climb up the right side of a large gap that has stacked crates on both sides. Climb across the ceiling to reach the crates on the left, and dash through the gap to enter a room with a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarab #4
Continue along the critical path to reach a section with wooden platforms that move to the right. There is a Golden Scarab high in the air here, and players can use the wall to its left to reach the collectible.
- Golden Scarab #5
In the next section, players will ride wooden platforms that move upward. There is a cracked wall on the right side of this section, and there is a Golden Scarab beyond it.
- Crystal Skull #2
At the top of the section with the wooden platforms that move upward, dodge through the gap in the wall on the left to enter an area with a Crystal Skull.
- Scroll
Continue along the critical path to reach an above-ground area. Players should now go right until they are forced to climb, and they will see a Demon Altar to their left at the top of their ascent. After entering that altar, players should climb the first set of platforms and dodge through the opening in the wall in the top-left corner. The platforming section that is beyond that gap leads directly to the Scroll.
- Golden Scarab #6
Keep advancing until you enter a cave with a large waterfall and spikes in the top-right corner. Guillotine boost off an enemy to grab the wall across from the spikes, and climb to the Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #3
After collecting the previous Golden Scarab, drop to find a red demon with a cannon. There is a cracked wall behind that demon, and there is a Crystal Skull past that wall.
- Golden Scarabs #7, 8 & 9
Follow the critical path to reach yet another section with wooden platforms that move upward. There is a cracked wall in the top-right corner of this section, and there is a room with a Golden Scarab beyond it.
- Golden Scarab #10
The final Golden Scarab is in the section with the tentacle chase, and players can reach the collectible by Guillotine boosting off the tentacles.
Into the Catacombs (3-4)
- Golden Scarab #1
After climbing the first wall in the level, look for a Golden Scarab under a green roof on the left side of the screen.
- Crystal Skull #1
Enter the Demon Altar above the first Golden Scarab, and complete the course to claim a Crystal Skull.
- Crystal Skull #2
Follow the path to get through the green roof section and reach a checkpoint. Dodge through the gap in the left wall, and Guillotine boost off the demon to reach a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #2, 3 & 4
Continue along the critical path to enter an interior area. Be on the lookout for a small alcove on the right as you climb through this area, as it holds a Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #3
The wall to the right of the previous Golden Scarab can be broken with repeated strikes, and there is a Crystal Skull in the area beyond it.
- Golden Scarab #5
There is another section filled with green roofs beyond the interior area. There is a Golden Scarab at the top of this section, and players can reach it by Guillotine boosting on the small purple demons.
- Scroll
Continue to reach a subterranean area with slime enemies that grow spikes. Advance to the second checkpoint in this area, and step on the platform to the right to cause a piece of the ceiling to fall. Pass through the hole that has just opened in the ceiling to find the Scroll.
- Golden Scarabs #6, 7 & 8
Advance through the subterranean area to reach a point where water is coming from the left and right. Drop into the gap where the water meets to find the final Golden Scarab.
Construction Site (3-5)
- Golden Scarab #1
Work through the level until you run into a Demon Altar. Break the cracked wall to the right of the altar to grab a Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #1
Continue along the critical path to reach a section with green fence covering in the background. Be on the lookout for a cracked wall as you climb through this area, as there is a Crystal Skull in the area beyond it.
- Crystal Skull #2
During the Rhyvashi chase, look for a Crystal Skull near the top of the screen. Climb across the ceiling to reach this collectible.
- Scroll
After being chased by Rhyvashi, players will find themselves in an industrial building. As players climb inside this building, they should look for a cracked wall on the left. Repeatedly attack this wall to break it and gain access to a Demon Altar, which can be entered to create a path that leads directly to the Scroll.
- Golden Scarabs #2, 3 & 4
With the Scroll collected, players should make their way to a section with yellow cranes. There is a Golden Scarab under the arm of one of those cranes, and players can climb to it.
- Crystal Skull #3
There is a yellow crane with barbed wire just past the Golden Scarab, and there is a purple demon hovering above it. Guillotine boost of that enemy and grab on to the beam at the top of the screen. Then Guillotine boost across the enemies to reach a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarab #5
After collecting the Golden Scarab, head to the right, slide down the wall, and stand on the beam to lower it. When the beam stops, break the cracked wall to the right to enter an area with the final Golden Scarab.
Act 4 Collectibles in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
Steel Prison (4-1)
- Crystal Skull #1
At the very beginning of the level, destroy the crate on the far left to reveal the first Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Advance to the section where you drop in between two carts that you can push. Push the cart on the right to the right, and then climb up and over the cart so that you are on its right side. Now push the cart to the left to reveal the Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarab #4
Continue along the critical path until you reach the next checkpoint. Destroy the crate beneath the checkpoint to reveal a Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #2
This Crystal Skull is on a metal platform just past the aforementioned checkpoint.
- Crystal Skull #3
Continue to progress through this long horizontal room. Just after using the second cart to avoid the electrified floor, look at the elevated metal platform. The Crystal Skull is behind an enemy with a shield.
- Golden Scarab #5
In the section just past the fight with the helicopter, look for the final Golden Scarab after riding the pulley with the green and red lights. Players can reach the collectible by climbing across the ceiling.
Open Sea Chase (4-2)
- Crystal Skull #1
The first Crystal Skull is in the air near the beginning of the level, just before the first bomb-dropping helicopter comes from the left side of the screen.
- Golden Scarab #1
After activating the first checkpoint, jump across the elevated platforms to reach this Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #2
Stick to the elevated platforms after collecting the Golden Scarab, as a Crystal Skull is floating above them.
- Golden Scarab #2
The final Golden Scarab is hovering above the water not long after the preceding Crystal Skull.
- Crystal Skull #3
Players will find the final Crystal Skull just above the water near the end of the level.
Navy Base Infiltration (4-3)
- Crystal Skull #1
Not long after starting main mission 4-3, players will find themselves riding on some containers as they are lifted. The first Crystal Skull appears on the left side of the screen during the ascent.
- Golden Scarab #1
Play through the stage's first Demon Altar section and drop through the hole that is created to reach a checkpoint. There is a Golden Scarab next to that checkpoint.
- Crystal Skull #2
Descend to the lava that is beneath the checkpoint, and head right to find two hovering drones. Use Guillotine boost on those drones to reach a platform with a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scrabs #2, 3 & 4
After exiting the lava-filled area, use the three parallel cables to continue to the right. The Golden Scarab can be reached by climbing across the bottom cable, though players will need to be careful to dodge the containers that come from the right side of the screen.
- Crystal Skull #3
Beyond the section with the three parallel cables, players will stand on a container that ultimately falls. After falling onto a series of cables beneath the container, players should head up and to the left to find a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarab #5
Further into the level, players will complete a section in which they are chased by a large truck, and there is a checkpoint just beyond it. There is a Demon Altar next to that checkpoint, and players should enter it and then go up and to the left to find the final Golden Scarab.
- Scroll
The Scroll is in the Demon Altar section where Golden Scarab #5 is found, though players must head up and to the right to reach it.
The Secret Lab (4-4)
- Golden Scarab #1
Head to the far right side of the level's first room, stopping just before climbing the stairs that lead to the room's exit. The Golden Scarab is against the wall at the top of the screen.
- Scroll
After collecting the first Golden Scarab, players will ride an elevator, dispatching enemies as they ascend. Eventually, this elevator will come to a stop, and players should defeat the flamethrower enemy on the left and pass through the opening she was blocking to enter a room with the scroll.
Make sure to pass through the opening on the left before dispatching all the enemies on the elevator, as the elevator will fall and make the opening inaccessible when the last foe is defeated.
- Crystal Skull #1
Once the elevator falls, dodge through the opening to the left of the checkpoint to enter a small room with this Crystal Skull.
- Crystal Skull #2
Continue through the mission to reach a section that centers around climbing a series of green containers that are moving downward. The Crystal Skull is in the top-left corner of that section.
- Golden Scarabs #2, 3 & 4
Further into the level, players must traverse a section by riding a green container as it moves to the left. There is a Golden Scarab in this section, and players can come into contact with it by holding onto the left side of the container.
- Crystal Skull #3
After riding the green container to the left, players will climb up several green containers and then head to the right. When players hit the far right end of this area, they should dodge through a small gap and drop into an area with the Crystal Skull.
Super Express to Hell (4-5)
- Crystal Skull #1
Before activating any checkpoints, players will climb up a stack of containers. Head to the right side of those containers and fall, instead of jumping to the small platform, to find the first Crystal Skull to the left.
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Advance to the first section with the moving train. Not long after activating the second checkpoint in this section, players will see a Scarab high on the screen, and they can use Guillotine boosts on the enemies to reach it.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
During the moving train section, players will jump down onto the top of a bullet train and activate a checkpoint. There is a Scarab to the left of that checkpoint.
- Crystal Skull #2
After riding on the bullet train, players will jump to yet another train, and this one has a Demon Altar. The path that is revealed by entering the altar leads to a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarab #7, 8 & 9
Continue beyond the Demon Altar until the background turns black. Look for a sparkle near the bottom of the screen, and come into contact with it to collect the Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #3
Players will run into the final Crystal Skull during the section where they are holding on to the moving helicopter.
Into the Shadows (4-6)
- Crystal Skull #1
Players will run into a Demon Altar early in the level, before activating any checkpoints. Enter that altar and complete the course that appears to find a Crystal Skull.
- Crystal Skull #2
Advance through the section that centers around jumping across a series of moving trucks until the road slopes upward. Stand on the hood of the truck that climbs the slope to run directly into a Crystal Skull.
- Crystal Skull #3
After climbing through the burning cave, players will run into a checkpoint, and there is a Demon Altar just past it. Enter the altar, use the platforms that appear to climb, and go left at the top to find a Crystal Skull.
Secret Ops Collectibles in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
Forest Resistance (S-1)
- Crystal Skull #1
There is a Crystal Skull at the top of the screen just before entering the cave at the beginning of the level. Guillotine boost off the nearby enemy's projectiles to reach it.
- Crystal Skull #2
Proceed through the cave until you find a face that shoots flaming projectiles. Guillotine boost off one of those projectiles in order to grab the right side of the wall in the middle of the screen. Climb up to reach a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
After the cave, players will pass through a tree section. The final Golden Scarab is at the top of the screen at the end of this section, just before a checkpoint.
Demon Pest (S-2)
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
As soon as you start the level, go left and slide down a wall to reach a Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
Not long after climbing the electrified wall at the beginning of the level, players will run into a gap with three insect-like enemies. Use Guillotine boosts on those enemies to reach the Golden Scarab that is above them.
- Crystal Skull #1
Once the second set of Scarabs have been collected, continue to the right until you are forced to climb. Pass through the first opening on the right during this climbing section to find a Crystal Skull, which can be accessed by climbing across the ceiling.
- Crystal Skull #2
Continue along the critical path to pass through an interior area. There is another short climbing section beyond that interior, and players should pass through the first opening on their left to enter a room with a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #7, 8 & 9
Players should now return to the critical path, and proceed to reach a checkpoint and electrified walls that they must climb. The final Golden Scarab is between the walls, at the top of the screen.
Mountain Trail (S-3)
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Near the beginning of the level, players will encounter a cog that they can hit to raise a platform. Grab the ceiling above the cog and climb to the right to find a Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #1
Continue past the first checkpoint until you reach a blue demon that shoots eyes from its stomach. Dash through the gap in the wall that the enemy blocks to enter an area with a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
Head to the next checkpoint and dodge through the gap in the wall to the left to reach a room with a Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarabs #7, 8 & 9
This Golden Scarab is in the air just to the right of the aforementioned checkpoint.
- Crystal Skull #2
As players follow the critical path, they will encounter a square stone platform with a landmine. The final Crystal Skull is against the right side of that platform.
Back in the Caves (S-4)
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Play through the level until you enter a cave. Head all the way to the right, and dash through the small gap in the wall to enter an area with a Demon Altar. Use the altar to take control of Kumori, and complete the course that appears to claim a Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
Return to the critical path, and continue to work through the cave. As players climb, they will see an alcove on the right, and there is a Golden Scarab, and a red demon, inside it.
- Crystal Skull #1
Shortly after claiming the second batch of Scarabs, players will enter a section where they must use moving wooden planks to climb. There is a cracked wall on the right side of this section, which can be broken with repeated strikes, and there is a Crystal Skull in the room beyond it.
- Crystal Skull #2
Continue along the critical path to reach a section with wooden planks that move to the left. Ride the platforms all the way to the left to find a cracked wall. The final Crystal Skull is in the room past that wall.
Secret Castle (S-5)
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Early in the level, players will traverse a series of green roofs. During this section, players will use two insect-like enemies to ascend, and they should go left after doing so to reach a Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #1
Fall into the underground area and dodge through the spikes to the left to grab a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
Continue to the next checkpoint, and dodge through the gap in the wall to the left to enter a room with a Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarabs #7, 8 & 9
Go right from the aforementioned checkpoint to run directly into a wall with a gap. Dodge through and grab the Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #2
Fall through the hole in the alcove with the Golden Scarab to find the final Crystal Skull.
Evil Redevelopments (S-6)
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
At the beginning of the level, players will run into a concrete pillar that they must destroy to advance. Destroy the top section to make the Golden Scarab appear.
- Crystal Skull #1
Continue through the industrial area to reach a section with fences covered with green screens. Players will find a cracked pillar that is guarded by a red demon in this section, and destroying it reveals a Crystal Skull.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
Follow the critical path to activate a checkpoint, and destroy the cracked wall to its right. Follow the path that is revealed to reach a Demon Altar, and use it to activate a course that leads to the Golden Scarab.
- Golden Scarabs #7, 8 & 9
Continue to the left of the aforementioned checkpoint, and head downward when forced to do so. At the bottom, destroy the cracked wall on the left to gain access to an area with the Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #2
Head to the next checkpoint, and go right to pass behind a green fence screen. In the area just beyond that screen, players will encounter several cracked walls, and the second one on the left hides a Crystal Skull.
Silent Tides (S-7)
- Crystal Skull #1
There is a Demon Altar near the beginning of the level that players must enter. While controlling Kumori, players will be required to climb across several horizontal cables, and there is a Crystal Skull above the top one.
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Near the end of the Kumori section, just before falling through the hole and hitting the button that allows Kenji to advance, players will see a Golden Scarab on the left side of the screen.
- Crystal Skull #2
Advance to the lava-filled section. The Crystal Skull is above the first 1,000 KG weight that players will encounter.
- Golden Scarabs #4, 5 & 6
Not long after activating the next checkpoint, players will find a conveyor belt with a 1,000 KG weight on each side. The final Golden Scarab is under the conveyor belt.
Lab Stronghold (S-8)
- Crystal Skull #1
Shortly after the level's first checkpoint, players will see a horizontal laser above them. Climb up through that laser to reach an area where there is a Crystal Skull at the top of the screen.
- Golden Scarabs #1, 2 & 3
Continue along the critical path to pass through an area where you must jump across green containers. Keep an eye on the top of the screen during this section to find a Golden Scarab.
- Crystal Skull #2
Head to the next checkpoint, dash through the gap in the wall to the right, and Guillotine boost across the enemies to reach the Crystal Skull.
