Nine Sols: Where to Go After Goumang

Return to Four Seasons Pavilion

After collecting the Seal of Goumang, players should focus on returning to the Four Seasons Pavilion. While there are many ways in which fans can reach that hub area, the fastest is to visit the Root Node to the right of Goumang's arena and use Nine Sols' fast travel feature to instantly teleport to the Pavilion.

This return trip to the Four Seasons Pavilion is a good opportunity to create Pipe Vials at the 3D printer, to have Kuafu make modifications, to deliver items to Shuanshuan, and to give chips to Shanhai 9000.

Go to Cortex Center

After taking care of business in the Four Seasons Pavilion, players should exit the hub and head left. Fans will encounter a locked gate after traveling in that direction for a short distance, and they can open it by summoning the Mystic Nymph, sending it into the wall above the gate, and hacking the device that the tool encounters.

Players should now continue to the left until they reach a statue with a shield. Fans of Metroidvanias should break the statue's shield (with a Charged Strike), hack the device to open the nearby gate, and keep moving left.

The room beyond the statue is a bit odd, as players cannot exit it initially. Indeed, fans must spend a bit of time in this room in order to trigger a jump scare. Once that jump scare occurs, players should continue to the left and activate the Cortex Center Root Node.

Go to Factory Great Hall

Nine Sols players must now navigate through the Cortex Center, and they will find the Factory (Great Hall) just beyond that area. Here are the actions that fans should take to get past the Cortex Center's obstacles:

Go left to reach a large gate. Send the Mystic Nymph into the hole in the ceiling and hack the device to lift the gate.
Climb the ropes that are beyond the gate, and use the grapple point to grab the scalable walls that are above the red spikes.
Continue to ascend, using scalable walls, grapple points, Tai-Chi kick circles, and ropes as needed.
At the top of the ascent, use a Charged Strike to break through a rock pillar and head left.
Descend to the bottom of the room, again using grapples, Tai-Chi kicks, and more to avoid the red spikes.
Exit through the bottom-left corner of the Cortex Center.

Players should now be in the Factory (Great Hall), and they are well on their way to earning their next ability and finding the third boss. While fans work toward that ability and boss, they may want to take a moment to solve Nine Sols' Factory Great Hall puzzle and to perform some general exploration.
