Xbox Game Pass has confirmed the seven games that subscribers can look forward to in the second half of the month. The second half of May 2023 was once going to be even bigger for Xbox Game Pass, but unfortunately, a recent release date delay threw a wrench in Microsoft's plans.
Previously, anticipated semi-open world horror game Amnesia: The Bunker was going to be a part of the Xbox Game Pass lineup for the second half of May 2023. It was once scheduled to launch on May 16, but then the release date was pushed back to May 23. Unfortunately for horror fans, the Amnesia: The Bunker release date was pushed back yet again, with the game now expected to arrive in June. This is good news for the June 2023 Xbox Game Pass lineup, but it's definitely a bummer for those who were looking forward to playing the game this month.
While Xbox Game Pass subscribers are going to have to wait longer than expected to play Amnesia: The Bunker, they now have seven other games to look forward to in the second half of May 2023. Eastern Exorcist is coming to Xbox Game Pass on May 18, joined by the console version of Ghostlore. Day one Xbox Game Pass game Planet of Lana is coming on May 23, with the console version of Cassette Beasts following on May 25. Both Railway Empire 2 and Massive Chalice will also be joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup on May 25. And finally, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is coming to Game Pass on May 30 to close out the month. It was previously announced that Farworld Pioneers would be coming to Xbox Game Pass on May 30 as well, but the game is nowhere to be seen in the latest announcement.

There are definitely some notable games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of May 2023 that subscribers will want to keep an eye on. Cassette Beasts has earned rave reviews from critics since its debut on PC, so the console version should be a guaranteed hit. Chicory: A Colorful Tale may just be the sleeper hit for Game Pass subscribers in May, as the game was actually one of 2021's highest-rated games.
Chicory: A Colorful Tale takes inspiration from classic Zelda titles, but certainly offers its own unique spin on the genre. Chicory also has co-op play, so any Xbox Game Pass subscribers needing something to play with their friends should consider checking it out once it joins the Game Pass lineup on May 30.
