Newest Pokemon Squishmallows Join the Growing Line-up
Jazwares has shared a new video revealing the next pocket monsters coming to the Squishmallows Pokemon collaboration line. A brief video shows off Sprigatito, the Grass-type starter from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as Rowlet, the Grass/Flying-type starter from Pokemon Sun and Moon, as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus. So far, the companies have only shared static images of the plushes from the front, but fans can get a general idea of what they look like from the new video.
While much about the new releases haven't been stated outright, there are some elements fans can likely expect from these new plush toys. Pokemon Squishmallows have been made in varying sizes, which impacts their price. Most Pokemon Squishmallows have sold for anywhere from $19.99 to around $50 for the jumbo variety. Additionally, Pokemon Squishmallows tend to be sold in more than one store, but with some differences. Notably, the Pokemon Center releases generally include a special Poke Ball logo embroidered on the back of the plush denoting them as being from that retailer. The releases that are available from general stores like Target lack this detail, but are otherwise identical. With this official teaser now released, fans likely won't have to wait long to learn more about the new Pokemon Squishmallows and when they can expect to purchase them.
So far, fans seem to be receptive to the new designs, with many joking that Rowlet hasn't changed at all from its original appearance. Those who want a squishy Pokemon plush of their own but aren't necessarily interested in Rowlet or Sprigatito have plenty of other options available to them. The line got its start in 2022 with Pikachu and Gengar Squishmallows, and has since expanded to include numerous favorites, including Eevee, Chansey, Dragonite, Clefairy, Piplup, and Pikachu variants, among others. Many of these are in-stock direct from retailers now, including Target, Walmart, and GameStop stores.
