New Pokemon Snap is the answer to a request many players have had for years. Players are busily fulfilling Professor Mirror's requests and snapping Pokemon pics, and many have not uncovered all the game's secrets yet.

One of the requests in New Pokemon Snap requires players to snap a rare picture of a Pidgeot looking happy and friendly. Titled Hard Won Happiness, it's considered a rare sight on account of Pidgeot being a regularly dour and serious Pokemon. Pidgeot would sooner snag a Magikarp and carry it off to eat than smile at a random photographer, so here's how to complete the request for Professor Mirror.

Step 1: Finding Pidgeot

This is one of several requests that take place in Florio Park (Night). Florio Park is the first area available in the game, and a run through it at night follows right after. It won't be hard to get in and look for Pidgetot, but players must interact with it three times.

  1. The first time players see Pidgeot is right at the entrance to the park. It flies down near the slumbering Bouffalant on the player's right.
  2. Toss some Fluffruit right next to it and make sure the Fluffruit gets eaten up. Players must actually watch Pidgeot eat or it doesn't count.

Step 2: The Second Sighting

  1. The second sighting of Pidgeot takes place near the lake in the park. It's easy to pick out amongst the other Pokemon in Florio Park (Night), and once seen, players should repeat their earlier step.
  2. Toss another Fluffruit and, once again, make sure the Pidgeot eats it. If the player looks away or Pidgeot doesn't eat the fruit, this won't work. Also, be sure not to hit Pidgeot with the fruit, there's no need to tick it off.

Final Step: The Smile

This one's not so much a step as it is an end result. Towards the end of the park, in the meadows specifically, look around for the Pidgeot once again. If all has gone to plan, it will swoop down and approach the player happily, culminating in a clear smile. That's pretty hard to pull off with a beak, so snap a picture lickity-split. That's one more request in the bag and on to the Pokemon hanging out at Florio Island's Illumina Spot. It's not a difficult request overall, but it is most definitely a cute one.
